Default Elevated Testosterone

okay, so my endo mailed me my lab results...*head thumping* with a rx for a different dosage of synthroid.

my testosterone was elevated at 50H
my fsh was 2.6
while my lh was 13.1 (from what i understand my lh should be lower than my fsh)
my vitamin d was a low normal at 29.

these were the only worrisome results....

so here's my question.

does metformin help lower testosterone? i was put on 500.

i'm frustrated b/c i have such rage issues, i feel like i'm crawling in my skin, not to mention the chin hair....extra weight.

i feel like leveling out my testosterone would solve a LOT of these problems....

should i not be on bc? or does met take care it?

OOOOOOOOHHHHHHH SOOOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATED! i can't believe they haven't even called me to go over these results! so aggravating!

I got up to 1500 mg of Met. a day and still I needed to go on Spiro to lower my testosterone. Supposedly Met. and a lower carb diet will lower your Testosterone levels.

Workout and low carb right helps to a great extent. I think it's the fourth post I am confessing how much it helped, the only problem was I wasn't ready to do either of that as I was craving for fat and sugars so much with the high testerone and tsh and So..........lazy even to walk. On top of it I use to self pity my situation. Everything changed after I worked out and dieted. Met helps a lot.
Try doing Kundalini Yoga which concentrates on thyroid and pitutary glands. If you don't have acenter nearby try googling for DVD's. Fat free yoga is a good one too. Good luck

BCP makes insulin resistance worse that is why my doctor wants me to just be on meformin.

Low GI diet

Exercise.

Some people find they need to go on BCP for other reasons but as it does make IR worse sometimes its not a good idea.
