Default Embarrassing problem.

I have been on Met for 2 months. Since being on it we have had to use lubricant every time we have bd'd. This was never a problem before and it is really starting to worry me and dh, although he hasn't said anything yet. Is this a side effect of Met or should I be looking at something else for the cause of this problem?

I think it's an indication of low female hormones.

I can't say I have experienced that problem when on Metformin. However, I used to have that problem before I 'came out', but not anymore.. and no I am not saying that you all have to be gay...

Thank Goodness I am not the only one going through this! I was beginning to wonder.
Oh Stephanie, I totally understand the burning fire down there. To the point where I am getting cold face washers to put down there for about 10 minutes afterwards. It seems to help with the swelling and pulsating. ( not the good sort!) I wonder if my dose was increased if it would get any better. I am only on 500mg a day.

This may sound very very naive but how is a low hormone problem fixed? I have an appointment with an RE in a months time so obviously it is something that they will check through blood work but I am just wondering what sort of things I could be in for.

Thanks girls for all your responses!

Hmm -- I have been having that problem, too - and I have never considered the Met being the cause! I used to have no problem in that area but now all the eggs in our house are all being used for EWCM But it doesn't burn like you guys are describing, so I am guessing it's not that serious. Have you tried that sperm-friendly stuff?

The burning feeling may be caused by being allergic to your partners sperm.
