Talking Emotional

Hi everyone , it's nice to see that I am not alone in this fight. I was diagnosed about 3 months ago and I have been a little depressed ever since. I had to basically fight with my physician just to have the labs and such done because after reading up on PCOS all of the pieces of the puzzle just fit. I have been suffering with symptoms since I was 14 and it finally has a name. I was also started on Metformin and have had horrible diarrhea, which sometimes causes my be to be a little noncompliant. I am engaged to a wonderful man and now I am beginning to to want a family. I find it all so weird because I never really thought about being a mom until I met "the one". So with the diagnosis and the side effects of the medication, I have been a little depressed. Please tell me that all of this gets better.

Just need a little encouragement,
Alesha

the side effects of the met does get better...just stay consistant in taking it and give it a week or two. You could also add cinnamon and chromium suppliments to also naturally help your body metabolize blood glucose. (tell the doc first though).

I was really depressed when I let the pcos go untreated long enough to develop diabetes. I wish I had faught harder for a diagnoses sooner. Good for you for doing that.

I have noticed that the side effects are variable based upon what I eat. Thanks for the advice.
