My Mood: Points: 37,888.78 Bank: 10,911.59 Total Points: 48,800.37 | Ended up in hospital, second time this has happen So tonight I ended up in the ER. About 2 weeks ago I had finished eating dinner and was watching tv when I felt a weird floaty, confused out of it disoriented sensation. I also break out in an instant sweat to where its literally rolling down my chest and my hands sweat. My body felt weak and uncontrolable.
I stood up out of momentary panic and my legs gave out, my husband luckly was there and picked me up and I begain to grey out. I didn't fully pass out but I greyed out for a second and had the white noise in my ears. My husband was trying to talk to me but it was like I couldn't really respond. I chaulked it up to not getting enough fluids (I drank a gatorade afterwards thinking maybe I had low electrolites) and it got better. I felt a little funky for a couple hours afterwards but nothing I couldn't handle
Tonight my husband left for work and I had felt it coming on and felt strange when he walked out the door but didn't want to bother him.. It hit me HARD about 10 mins after he left and I tried to get some water but once again I couldn't even walk. I was so unbalanced/floaty/dizzy that I immediatly laid down and begain to grey out again. I called him hysterical (once is a fluke 2 x's and somethings wrong) and he turned right around and came home Once again this happen after I ate.
I dunno what it is, all tests came back normal and the pumped me with sailine and I felt fine and the people in the ER are trying to scare me saying I might be allergic to the pregnancy and I might have to end it and all this stuff. Ugh what is going on!!! Just had to rant sorry
I didn't eat the same things when this happen so it can't be the food itself. I'm calling my ob in the morning. I know I should have the first time but like I said I thought maybe it was a fluke and it was just early pregnancy hormones flowing through me

I am no dr but it sounds to me like either your blood pressure is bottoming out or your blodo sugar is getting too low. Definetly call your ob and I'm sure they can reassure you about you and the baby!! To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

thats what I keep telling them. Its happening like 20 mins after I eat so I think my stomach is pressing on my vegus ( I think thats how you spell it) nerve in your abodomen and its causing my blood pressure to drop suddenly .
I have something called Neuro-cardiogenic syncope. I've never actually passed out from it though. I've had problems with my blood pressure I had a tilt table done years ago for something I have called dysautonomia (dys-auto-no-mia) and on it they found that my blood pressure drops drastically and fast. Within 15 mins of my test my blood pressure went to 59/32 and I began to "grey out" and become tachycardic. Similar to what I'm feeling now.. I kept telling them this at the ER but noo lets check your urine and re preg test you.. OMG I wanted to smack them. I'm going to call my cardi in the morning too and get a work up. Its scary stuff I'm worried about greying out and falling on my stomach, esp in later pregnancy if this continues. I think its time to have that hole in my heart closed!

Of course, it could be a blood sugar problem too. You're right to see your cardiologist. I'm sure he/she will be able to help you...not make wild conjectures like the ER.
Seriously, though, that ER staff sounds like a bunch of asshats. Allergic to a pregnany? WTF?

I was having trouble breathing, and the hospital told me I was just having panic attacks and sent me home, come to find out, I have asthma-- so, don't take too much stock in what the ER says, definitely talk to your own doctor.
