Hiya Sylvia and welcome to the board!
There is a very helpful "sticky" thread over at the newbies board all about what to ask at your endo visit. Here's the link: http://www.soulcysters.net/showthread.php?t=6529
In terms of thyroid, don't let a doc tell you that "everything is fine" without seeing the actual test results. The tests should include not just a TSH and total T4 (the usual tests) but also a Free T3, Free T4, and TPO antibodies. Women with PCOS often have Hashimoto's Thyroiditis too, and you need a complete eval to rule this out. The interpretation of the tests can vary depending on the doc, and that's why you need the actual lab results and not just take a doc's word for it. An example of this is the TSH test. Many docs won't consider treatment until the TSH is over 6 or more, but the majority of the population have a TSH of 1 or less. There are newer guidelines that say anything over 3 is indicative of hypothyroidism, yet many labs and docs aren't up to date with this (the old guidelines go up to 5).
HTH,
Linda
