Default Endo and the bowel

Has anyone had endometriosis on or around their intestines? I had adhesions all over the "omentum" (sp?) which they say is the outside fatty part of the colon or something. Sometimes I feel like my bowels are messed up due to the endo and I was curious if anyone else had this symptom?

I was diagnosed with IBS several years back. In my journey to find out why I couldn't conceive, my gyn did a lap. Discovered endo lesions on my bowel and my bladder. He lasered them off. I have not had a single IBS symptom since. In discussing this with him after the surgery, he said it is very common that women be misdiagnosed as having IBS when in fact they have endo lesions affecting their bowels.

Do you mind me asking how it impacted your bladder? Like did you have any symptoms or did they just notice it w/ your lap?

I kept having frequent urination, or short urination, as in when I had to go, I had to go right at that moment, no waiting. I would also sometimes have the laugh/sneeze problem. You know where you laugh/sneeze and a little dribbles (TMI sorry). My GP thought time and time again it was a UTI, and would prescribe antibiotics. But the urine test would usually come back negative. They were working on getting me a referral to a urologist, but in the meantime I had the lap. Haven't had a single "caught short" moment or laugh/sneeze.

OMG! I've sooo been wondering if this has been the problem. See all the issues came into the light when I went off of BCP. I've had serious bladder control issues. It's to the point where I wear pads just in case I feel so weird being 26 and being like this! I was making dinner for DH on his birthday and I laughed and looked down and my pants were just swamped. It was like a full bladder had been released I've been so worried so now I'm thinking this is all wrapped up in the endo too. I want to be fixed!!!!

I have frequent urination. It causes me lots of problems at work, and sometimes I get called rude because I will leave a customer standing at the counter. I don't know if it is more rude to leave a customer waiting or to pee all down my leg.... I guess I would rather not be humiliated. I did question my doctor about this and she told me it was probably do to the endometriosis.

I have IBS symptoms, never been diagnosed though, I just take stuff to keep me from having diarrea(SP?) on a daily basis, sometimes it works, sometimes it don't. I am gonna ask my doctor this question next time.
