Hi,

I have my first appointment at an endo on Wed. Her name is Dr Anna Thomas. Just wondering if anyone has been to her and if she is ok? She charges $180 for the first appointment so I am hoping that I don't have to see her too often. Does anyone know if that is the average cost of a consultation? You only get $100 back from medicare so I thought it seemed quite expensive.

I havent heard of Anna but i do know a really good endo - her name is Winnifred Lee. She helped me a lot pre, during and post pregnancy. She is $106 per consult (not sure about the first one).

I dont know who Anna is either but just wanted 2 let u know that your first consult is normally alot more expensive then the following ones I think its caz they do all the background work and stuff in the first appt.

Hi all,

I've seen Dr Strakosch - he was great, but I'm really keen to focus on weight loss and that didn't really seem to be his thing (I think pregnancy might be more up his alley???). But he is very knowledgeable, caring, helpful, willing to listen to your ideas and research you have found.

Anyway, I am going to see Dr David Carey at the Wesley in March. He is a weight loss specialist - but he is an endo. Anyone else seen him? He is attached to the Wesley weight loss clinic. Should be interesting to see what he suggests. I'll let you all know.
