Default endo. wouldn't give me armour, but he did

Well my endo. flat out when asked if he prescribes Armour said that "He does not." He did not offer a explanation why he doesn't and of course he seemed pretty blunt on his answer ,like as in and don't ask me why kind of tone I was given.

But I did come out and and ask him if he would be willing to try getting my TSH in the 1 range and he said yes. I said I noticed that my last TSH was 2.92 and I felt that it was still to close to 3 and would like to see if I would feel better if we could get it in the 1 range. He said he agreed, which totally blew my mind ,because He told me on my last app. that my TSH looked good.At the time I didn't know what the level was till after I left from the room with him and went up to the desk and asked for the copy of my blood work.

I tried to get my lab results before going in with him this time and they copied it for me but said they would put it on the top of my chart. I don't know what the deal is with that.I had to take it out of my chart when I was getting ready to make my next app. because the doctor put it in my chart.

They did more blood work again ,seems like they do bloodwork for every app. I wont' see the doctor again until Sept. 30th. I lwould like to be able to see my current lab results when I go into my app. so I feel like I can have a productive 5 minutes ,which seems to be about the amount of time the doctor spends in the room w/me.

I have found that he likes to talk fast and not listen and I just ignore him and keep repeating myself so he has to answer me. Hell he didn't hardly give me time to say what I wanted to say yesterday and he was skipping right to when I could come in again a month or 6 weeks . I'm like a month and I had to keep interrupting him because he did it to me when I was trying to tell him what I felt I needed.

What is it with these doctors. They want the big bucks but they don't want to even give you 5 minutes of there time.Heck I don't know what his problem was he was even on time for once and I didn't have to wait 35 40 min. past my app.

Sorry for carrying on . I need to get to the point. He upped my synthroid from 75 mcg's to 88 mcg's. so I'm taking the green pil now instead of the blue one.

I did notice a hour after taking it or at least I think the pill did it, I kept thinking it felt like my heart was beating faster , but then a few hours later I felt fine.

I have noticed today that I have had lots more energy. I didn't need a nap. I done house work all day. So keeping my fingers crossed that this will do the trick.

I'm trying to get my mom to get her TSH results from her doctor so we can see if she has hypothyrodism too. Which I wouldn't be a bit surprised if she does.

Well I better shut up and get going. Take care. Hope everybody stays safe in the Hurricane path.

Have you tried making a list? Pick, say, the top 3 things you want answers to, and write them down. When he's done talking, tell him that you have a few questions and pull out your list. I think this might make it harder for him to brush you off. You might also want to consider asking for a longer appointment. Tell the receptionist that you'd like to book a longer appointment because you feel too rushed and don't feel like your questions are being adequately answered. You could probably also ask for an advance copy of your bloodwork. If they are hesitant, tell them that you'd like to be able to prepare any questions in advance.

Hope things go well for you. Seems you really have to stick to your guns in order to get things done right!
