Default Endocrinologist in London?

hi

I havent really posted here much in a while. I'm 27 and live in London in the UK. I was dx with PCOS a bit over a year ago.... I also have Lupus. My sister was also just diagnosed with PCOS this year and has a referal to an endocrinologist already! (she is not anywhere near london tho).

I've had a rough ride with my lupus, but am hoping to try to get the PCOS a bit more under control if at all possible! I am quite overweight still, though managed to lose almost 5 stone last year - but put some back on again with some of my lupus meds (I like to blame the meds but hey). My sis and I have always struggled with our weights. I have real bad acne on my upper back and am infertile (5 years of trying no joy so far - but been ofered clomiphene by our infertility specialist)....

does any one know of a PCOS-friendly endocrinologist in London at all? I'd like to be able to have a name in reserve when i go to my GP about this..... thanks so much

take care all

love Seska x

I was recommended to go and see a Dr White at St Mary's Hospital in Paddington (though I have yet to ask for a referral). She is a specialist in PCOS and I am told very nice and approachable.

I can fully recommend Dr White at St Mary's Paddington, also Dr Khan. The team there are part of Professor Franks' team, and he is the dude who gives all the medical advice to Verity, the UK PCOS support group.

Dr White is a lovely woman, and while the group like to emphasise weight loss if you need it, they are very supportive and not remotely dismissive.

Good luck!
