Hi ladies
I am TTC and it was discovered I'm hypo - well I kind of discovered it as my dr said there wasn't really a problem (TSH of 3.5, then 4.7 with very low free T4). I got rx synthroid but was told to find a regular endo to treat me.

I just went to my first and he seemed unconvinced I had a problem - wants me to take the meds for 4 months then go off them to see how I do. That sounds like a terrible plan, esp since I will hopefully be pregnant in 4 months.

I need a Dr who agrees with the new lab ranges for TSH and believes that 1-2 is ideal for TTC.

Anyone got a recommendation? I am in Burbank but will drive to see someone good. I just can't keep going to losers!

Try posting this question in the "Find a Doctor" area and hopefully someone will be able to recommend an Endo for you. Good luck!!

DON'T see Dr Bindra at UCLA!!! she didn't even look at my labs! All she said was "well we already know you have PCOS. Get on BCP and lose weight. You'd be amazed what losing weight will do for you." Oh when she asked about my history and I told her I had a long history of drug use and smoking and stuff she looked at me side ways and said "and WHY would you all of a sudden care about yourself now?" So yeah, DON'T go to her!!!
