endometrial biopsy

had an endometrial biopsy- was dxd with hyperplaysia- i am on 3 rounds of Provera for the next three months. I am supposed to go back in 3 months for a follow up biopsy- my question is about sex. they wont put me on bcp untill the hyperplaysia is gone and i understand that, and we will be using condoms. but my man is worried that he might hurt me more by having sex during this time that i am hopefully getting rid of the hyperplaysia. am i going to basically on a period for the next 3 months? sorry to sound so dumb but this is new to me.

I went through the exact same thing. I had the biopsy, was dxd with hyperplasia, went on a three month course of Provera, had another biopsy. hyperplasia was gone (whew

).

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about sex affecting your condition. I never had any problems and I was under my RE's care the whole time

Of course, if you really think there might be some medical implications, then I would suggest asking your doc, just to make sure.

I agree. I don't see how having sex could affect your condition, especially since you're going to be using condoms.
