Unhappy Endometrial biopsy?

Hi, just found out today that I have to have an endometrial biopsy and am panicking. For those of you who have had this procedure, what do they do? Any needles or knocking out? I went to Dr. Lydic today and my overall report wasn't that great. Needless to say I'm throwing a pity party for myself tonight and then starting fresh tomorrow morning- I'm going to get it all of of my sysyem tonight! My bloodwork was way off- glucose test- my results way off! I don't have one good thing that I can think of to report right now... except that I don't give up! I want kids more than anything- as much fun as it is being "the world's best aunt" - it just feels like it's not enough anymore.
Anyone that feels like putting in your 2 cents or joining me start fresh tomorrow- please do so! I could use the buddies!

I'm assuming that this is a uterine biopsy? They don't knock you out. It is a bit painful -- like a very bad cramp. It is over in about 15 seconds -- really long when it's painful. Just think of a relaxing thing. It's important and will be over quickly. There may be some residual bleeding -- they'll give you a pad for that.

When I had it done it was like a pap smear but more time consuming. It was a lot of pinching. But because of my uterus tilt it did take longer than usual. The doc recommended me taking motrin for any pain but I didn't need the motrin. Afterwards I had a little spotting and I was back to normal. As normal as I can be with PCOS.

I'll be honest, it hurts but like someone said earlier-it only lasts a few seconds. I recommend taking a muscle relaxant and a pain killer prior to the appt. Good luck.
