Default Endometrial Hyperplasia (thickening)

Is there anything I can do naturally to help my body shed the extra lining? Doctor is recommending a d&c but I would prefer doing something less invasive first! I know that my hormone levels are off (from testing earlier last summer) and am currently taking maca, red rasberry leaf. cod liver oil and a good pre natal vitamin. Doc. said she is not worried about cancer but wants to "not put off" a d &c? She would not check my hormones because she said we could mess around with hormones for months???!! I have only been taking the maca and red raspberry leaf for about 4 weeks. Is there anything else I can do? I was also wondering what so of you mamas would do if you were me? Would you try herbs and things, take birth control, or have the d&c? I know for sure that I am getting a second opinion but time and money are limited! Thanks

Anyone.... not even a what you would do? I know that over time it can develop into cancer...anyone know how long that would be. I was dealing with this for 6 months before I saw her last month and I am about 8 months in. I DO want it taken care of before the situation gets bad but would like to avoid surgery as I, my mom and my aunts have a HORRIBLE wakeing up after being put out!

Why can't the doctor prescribe progesterone for you to bring on AF? It seems to me that would be better than a D&C.

That’s what I was thinking! But I was wondering if a d & c was more common then progesterone? I would think progesterone would carry less risks???!! She said she wasn’t worried about cancer at my age but then turned right around and said she didn’t want to mess around by leaving it in there to long, because it could take forever to get hormones right. But don’t you just do progesterone and it makes you bleed? If she was wanting to do a d and c to have the lining tested for abnormalities (don’t know why there would be any) couldn’t that still be done just by sending in blood that has been bleed out? Sorry I'm probably not making a sense but I have alot of questions about this her nurses have not been answering for me. Seems to me she wants to do a d and c end of story. I guess it has me alittle freaked out even though she said cancer is unlikely at my age. She did a pap and I was bleeding at the time. Would abnormal cells have shown up on my pap had there been any? I know I'm letting my mind wonder to much about it but I guess thats what happens when you cant find any direct knowledge on a subject! Any info I find on the Internet is for older women with cancer always mentioned so my hunt for information only worries me more, even though I’m only 26. If someone could answer my questions I would be extremely appreciative! Thanks
