Well I didn't get to see the gyn today.......he had an emergency c-section so I sat there for 2 hours and got no answers. Now I have to wait until next Thursday! I am feeling better today though!

Oh paisley, I hate you didn't get to see the gyn today! I'm glad you're feeling a little better though. To me times you are feeling better are always a blessing. Thursday will be here before you know it.

HI ladies! I feel better today, hopefully cold is almost gone. I went to my new gyno today. He was very good. He asked a lot of questions, and then told me he felt I had a very severe case of endo and that he thought my bowel was probably involved. He said he feels I should probably have a colonoscopy before the lap to see if bowel is involved. He also said that he feels a reproductive endocronologist would be the best doctor for me b/c they could treat the endo and the pcos. so, now I am off to another doctor appt. to see what they say. At least I am getting somewhere. I am thankful that the doctor today was so honest and forthwright with me. I should get a call this week to set up appt. with the other new doctor. I am going to have to miss so much work. I am not going to stress until I see this new doctor and know what they want to do.

I am glad that you are feeling better today and so sorry that you didn't get to see your doctor. I am with Tiggamoo, I think it may be something with the Yasmin. Hope you get your answers soon.

I am so glad that you got such great care at your appointment yesterday. I agree with you, I wouldn't stress out over having to miss work until you know for sure. I honestly hope that the endo hasn't spread to your bowel.....that really sounds painful! I hope that the new Dr is just as great and honest with you as the one you went to yesterday! GOOD LUCK and BEST WISHES!! I will keep you in my prayers!

I am patiently waiting for next Thursday! I am also supposed to start my Lupron injections next Thursday! I am so nervous about the side effects, but I am willing to try anything to help with the endo pain! Hope you have a great day!

Stupid endo and PCOS.... I can't even BD with DF because I hurt so badly. I feel aweful because the BCP's make my sex drive

so its gettin to the point where BD'ing is a chore and I hate that feeling. Other than that I am fine I can feel the endo flare up because of the above rant and my back tells me so LOL *sigh*

How is everyone else doing today and this past week. I havn't checked in some time. I hope everyone is well and staying healthy as much as possible.

Good morning, Endo Cysters! Just waking up and trying to work a little among some time lurking on here. My blood sugar is a little low this morning but I'm hanging in there. My girly parts have been feeling uncomfy among the tense muscles. Anymoo...

Leah, I'm glad you had a good experience with the new gyn. He sounds really great and wants to try to help. I hope your endo hasn't gotten into your bowel but the colonoscopy should be able to tell the dr. whether it is or not. Try not to worry about missing work with dr. appointments and tests. It's important to do what's best for your health and comfort.

Paisley, your Thursday appointment will be here before you know it! I've never treated my endo with the Lupron yet. My gyn didn't give that option for treatment after my lap and considering I'm hoping to plan to TTC is the near future. I hope your side effects are minimal.

Rozlynn, I'm sorry you hurt during sex. Before my lap, that was frequent problem for me. My gyn recommended an alternative treatment to decrease the pain. She gave me a prescription for valium but I don't take it by mouth. My gyn recommended that about 45 minutes to an hour before having sex to insert the valium up inside your hoohah. Believe it or not, this actually worked for me. With the BCP's, I can relate with how it makes your sex drive fluctuate. It can be so frustrating. I'm sorry you are hurting and I hope you feel better as your day goes on.

I was just curious as we are getting to know each other better who's married or has a significant other, who has kids, what type of work do you do, and anything else about yourself. I'll start...

I'm married and have been for over two years. No kids but DH and I hope to begin to TTC later this year. I'm a licensed social worker employed as the director of social services and admissions for a nursing home.

I got married when I was 18.... my 13th Anniversary is in September! The time flies by believe me!
I have 3 children....... DS-12, Ds-10 1/2, DD-9 . I also have 3 dogs, 2 pitbulls, and a miniature schnauzer.

hmk I'm 24 not married but hope to be soon - -the clock is tickin down for ttc so maybe DF will actually make a decision sometime this century

I live in a small town on the NJ/PA border - Grew up on a farm so we have many animals. I am a landscape Architect...and one day will own my own biz

Mazie, Thanks for the advice. I think I do need to call and stand tall and get through to a dr. I just called today and canceled the test they wanted to do on my bladder. I just don't think it is that. Now I just need to call and make an appt. with the Dr. Hee Hee. I should brave up in a day or two after canceling this one with her. I just hate to hurt feelings but I guess I shouldn't worry about her feelings when it is obvious she doesn't worry about my healthcare.
Tiggamoo, Thanks for your help. I have been on the pill for years so you would think that I wouldn't end up with endo. Who knows. I'm thinking I should move to Canada where I believe healthcare is covered. Ha Ha. Americas healthcare is horrible. I think in some regards we get the worst service when it comes to day to day things and we pay the most for it. Life seems to just get more confusing everyday. I just don't know where to go from here. I guess like I told Mazie I need to call the OBGYN office and ask for an appt. with an actual Dr. and do it soon. Thanks ladies for listening and your advice.

Well, Tiggamoo, to answer your questions:

I just got married in January of 2005, on the 22nd. IT was to my high school sweetheart, we have been together since we were 15, so that makes 8 years together. No kids yet, want to ttc after my surgery and all. We have a Shih Tzu puppy that is going on 7 months old. Got her right after we married, her name is Prissy Missy.

I work for a rehabilitation center in GA. It is the Roosevelt Rehab center. Some people from GA may have heard of it, plus some people in other places. It is known internationally as well as nationally. I work in the vocational unit teaching people with disabilities daily living skills. I love my work.

I am the second child, in a family of 2 girls. That makes me the baby, and yes, I am the baby that got away with everything!

I love to read. I love music and singing. I love anything to do with animals, but not reptiles. I did have pet mice so I am ok with rodents I guess.

Rozlynn, maybe your DF will get a clue. You are a great cyster!

Bert, I've been on the pill continously since 2002 and it didn't stop the endo. In fact, I didn't start having symptoms of endo until sometime after I started the pill. As for America's healthcare, it has it's strengths and weaknesses. The best thing I know to do is learn everything you can about endo, PCOS, and any other health issue that comes along. You have to be your own healthcare advocate. Speak up and insist on seeing your dr. Be a squeaky wheel. It's so noisy that it has to be paid attention to.

Sorry about being MIA. Well, I haven't heard of the rehab place where you work. As I've seen from the therapists here at the nursing home, therapy can do some wonderful things for people. What area of therapy are you in?

I am in the Vocational Rehab part. I don't actually do therapy, but I teach independent living skills. I guess it is a sort of therapy. Plus we help with their banking and are here to

if they need us.
