Question Endrometrial problems-what should I do?

For the past 2 years or so I have had symptoms of PCOS: I gained 50 pounds despite lowering my calories, cutting out junk food, sugars, fried food, (tho I didn't eat much anyway) and have been exercising 4x a week the past 4 months but I still weigh 194 pounds (have lost only 6 pounds in the last 4 months). I am dieting and exercising more now than I did when I was 140-150, but weigh almost 200. This is weird for me. My doctor keeps saying to cut out the cookies, cakes, and pies which I am not eating and haven't for 2 years and she hasn't done anything except test my thyroid 2 or 3 times! and the gynecologist I just saw said it's a part of aging and should get used to it! I have lost 20-25% of my hair which started falling out about 2 years ago and continues to do so. I have skin tags. My face started getting hair on it around my mouth. I have high cholesterol and triglycerides despite the fact that I don't eat fatty foods or sugary foods. I track my foods at sparkpeople and my cholesterol every day is 150 (recommended is 0 to 300) for example. I eat little to no sugar, etc. I haven't had my hormones tested yet, doctors haven't done so. The gynecologist ran an ultrasound for suspected fibroids b/c I was also having heavy periods with clots (past 2 years also) and found a thickened endometrium lining which I googled and this is also a symptom of PCOS. I am dealing with biopsies and all for that and abnormal cervix pap smear. (I have my next appt. for biopsy(s) on 7/31). Should I also ask her to run tests for PCOS or just concentrate on all the other stuff already going on? Am I going to give her too much to handle at once? I am thinking the PCOS is causing a lot of my problems is the thing!!!! Does anyone have any advice or ideas? Every time I google my health problems, for weight gain, hair loss, high triglycerides, or thick endometrium, etc. PCOS keeps coming up, and I am thinking this may not be a coincidence anymore....How can I get one of my doctors to help me with this????

It may be worth mentioning at your next biopsy appointment, but definitely find someone who's willing to listen to your symptoms (even if it means finding another doctor). There's no set "test" for PCOS so all those other symptoms should be a good indication that it's a possibility.
