Default Is it enough???

Hi Everyone,
I have seen a few posts about the dosage per day on here and i just wondered if i should ask my doctor to increase or not????
I am currently taking 1000 mg per day. I went off my bcp's in May and started the met.
Here is how my cycles have been since:
June 18
July 16
Aug 16
sept. 16
For some reason they always come on the same day even though they might be 29 or 32 days apart.. is that normal???
I have always had periods except for a few times i would stop for a month or so. but they have always been 30-50 days apart. My doctor told me i probably never ovulated before but i feel like i am now.. I havent lost any weight to speak of yet (probably due to willpower) but am still trying...

Thanks,
Shortie

Everyone responds to different doses of Met... there isn't necessarily a one dose that is better than others, kwim? So it seems that your periods are coming at very nice regular intervals so that tells me the Met is helping. Every 29-32 days is excellent.

The only way to know if your meds are working is by lab results. If the hormones that your Dr checked before he put you on it are lowering or normalizing, then your dosage is working for you. Your periods regulating is a good sign too (29 & 32 day cycles are perfect...I'm 31-34 days). If the labs aren't showing any improvement, then it might be time to discuss an increase. But weight loss alone, just isn't an indicator itself, because it can be influenced by other factors, stress, alcohol etc.

Good luck!
