Perhaps it is your brand of epilator but I've had huge success with my underarms. I no longer have the underarm darkness that used to be there as the hairs are finer and are no longer visible underneath the skin.
The first time I did my underarms it hurt like hell and bled. Now its easy peasy and takes less than a minute to do once or twice a week.
My legs too forever the first couple of weeks but now if I keep on top of it, it just takes a few minutes once a week. I'm slowly working up the leg too, I'm up to above the knee now! lol
Its definately easier than shaving and the results are much more satisfying. I wasn't keen (or financially able) to fork out a lot of money for a new one so I bought a second hand one and its been great. Its a Braun Silk-Epil and its meant to be rechargable but no longer holds battery life so I have to keep it plugged in to use it - if I was to buy a new one I'd definately get a rechargable one, its a lot easier to use without having a cord getting tangled up around my leg!
