Smile Epilators

I have a Braun one. Silk-épil(SoftPerfection).
I used it for the 2nd time today, and it didn't husrt as much as the first time I tried. I did half a leg. Yup, yup, I'm getting good at it...

I was wondering, what areas do you use your epilator on? Is it just the legs, or other places too?

Ahhh, what a wonderful little machine

I used to have one but it hurt too much so one day when I was 14 and hormonal I threw it against the wall and broke it.

I used it on my legs and underarms.

My epilator is a Baun Silk epil, too! (How did you do the accent over the e?)

By the third time, it won't hurt AT ALL. I use mine on my legs, and 'sometimes' under my arms.

Maddy, the new epilators are WAY better than the old epilady with the coils...

I have a Remmington Gold Epilator. And I absolutely love it. My legs are rather sensitive, and I haven't worked up the courage to use it on them yet. I use mine on my upper lip, chin and neck area, and used it on my stomach once (but that was all it needed)

I might have to be brave and use it on my legs someday... it'd sure beat shaving!

Wow! If you can use it there, your legs should be easy!

When I had laser treatments, the only place it 'hurt' was on my upper lip.

The epilator is an awesome device, but it almost never gets mentioned here at SC (or maybe I just miss those threads )

I bought one many years ago and brought it right back to the store and got my money back! It hurt so bad. That was for my legs. Im thinking about getting one now that the problems on my chin. Im used to pain there.Lol. But I dont know if it would pull short hair stubble.

OOH - I love my Braun Silk! I use it on the fuzzy hair on my face (it doesn't grab the short, dark hairs), and on my tummy (it hurts a LOT at first, then not as much). Warning - if you take a break from it, it will hurt all over again when you start up again.

The only thing I don't like about it is that it's quite loud when I turn it on. Like Brzzzz sound or something.

Anyone else find this annoying? Or am I just weird?

(you'll see the link in the 3rd or 4th post)

Yep...better than shaving!

God, yes, it's loud. I can't use it when we have overnight company - I'm afraid they'll think I'm using a naughty toy!

A little O/T... On a flight a few weeks, back I had an electric toothbrush in my carry on luggage. Apparently, in flight, something knocked it into the 'on' position, so when we landed and I took it out of the overhead bin, it was making a vibrating noise that everyone around me heard. To make matters worse, everyone around me was MALE! I was so embarrased, and mumbled about it being my toothbrush, which I couldn't find inside the bag for ANYTHING. It took FOREVER for them to open the cabin door, so I just had to stand there with my bag buzzing and a whole bunch of men snickering...
