I just got this book this morning. Bought it off of Ebay and also bought the Living with PCOS book from there too. I'd really like to get my hands on the Diet Book. So I'm keeping my eye out for it. Thank you for all the suggestions. I'm on the search for all of these books
Has anyone ever read Alternative PCOS solutions by Julie Renee Callaway, The PCOS Coach. Just wondering if it was any good?
I just saw this book on Ebay and was wondering the same thing.
Anyone read her book?

I bought the book PCOS: A Woman's Guide to Dealing with PCOS by Colette Harris and Dr. Adam Carey. It's a good book and easy to understand. Some other books I've purchased and read are Taking Charge of Your Fertility by Toni Weschler. This book explains on what you can do to help chart your cycles and gives ways of knowing if you're ovulating or not. It's got lots of information in it. Also is The Infertility Survival Handbook by Elizabeth Swire Falker. This book is great for those just starting in the ttc department and have been told they have infertility problems. It explains all options and procedures in detail, so you know exactly what is involved with IVF, IUI, etc. And lastly for Christian cysters the book The Infertility Companion helps you deal with facing infertility and dealing with your emotions while at the same time keeping it at a biblical and spiritual level. I'll have to get back with you on the author. But I was able to purchase it at Barnes and Noble. I've found all these books to be helpful. Happy reading!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
I've read/skimmed over most of Colette Harris' books (The Ultimate PCOS Handbook, The PCOS Protection Plan, PCOS : your guide to self-care, emotional well-being, and medical support, The PCOS Diet Book, PCOS : a woman's guide to dealing PCOS) and I must say that they helped me tremendously! I'm very lucky that our local library carries all these books.

Has anyone tried the "Insulin Resistance Diet"? I just recently purchased this book from amazon.com and found they had several of the books listed along with a few others. I also purchased "A Patient's Guide to Living with PCOS" although have not started reading it yet but thumbing through the pages looks like it has a wealth of information in it.
I read through some of the post here but most of the books have been out for years now.
So my question is:
Now that it's 3/2008 what books would you suggest?
I just wonder if the older books would be to out of date by now.
Thanks

The 2 best books I've read are PCOS for Dummies (fantastic! even if you aren't a dummy ) and New Glucose Revolution: Managing PCOS - Jennie Brand-Miller.
My partner works at the local library and ordered a whole lot of PCOS books. When they arrived he went to get them out for me and 4 of the first 5 that had arrived had already been taken out and people also had them on hold! I didn't realise there were so many people in my town with PCOS but they must be out there somewhere! lol
