Thumbs up Polycystic Ovary Syndrome from Dr John Eden

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome

A woman's guide to identifying and managing PCOS
Dr John Eden

More information on http://www.allenandunwin.com/shoppin...=9781741145274

For me this book was the best choice in order to gain first information on the subject and took many fears from me!

I'm going to Borders today - think I am going to get "The Hidden Epidemic" and Insulin Resistance Diet

I havne't actually been classified as IR yet - but I know I have issues with eating habits and how I'm addicted to carbs and how I'm tired all the time and when I'm extremely fatigued I crave carbs so I'm just getting a head start - need to improve my diet anyway.

I just finished "A Patient's Guide to PCOS; Understanding and Reversing Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome" by Walter Futterweit, M.D. and it was easy to read and helpful. I am presently reading "The Savvy Woman's Guide to PCOS" by Dr. Elizabeth Vliet. I borrowed both of them from the library.

Thanks for the other suggestions.

PCOS: The Hidden Epidemic is a great book, I found it easy to read and it gave alot of information about PCOS itself.

I really liked "The Savvy Women's Guide to PCOS" by Elizabeth Vliet. I think she's the same doctor who wrote "It's my ovaries stupid".

I have the book "PCOS and Your Fertility" by Colette Harris, and it's really insigtful for how to make life changes that boost your chances of conceiving. It also gives a brief one chapter overview of the actual syndrome. I was pregnant with my son within a few months of starting the life changes. Hope this helps.
