Essential PCOS Guide for you and your doctor - a MUST HAVE!
If you haven't yet downloaded the Medifocus Guide to Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, I HIGHLY recommend it. It is one of the most comprehensive and up-to-date resources on PCOS treatments, research, physicians, etc (after SoulCysters, of course ) Keep a copy for yourself, and make a copy for your doctor (they'll need it )
Seriously - if you don't ever get another book (or anything) on PCOS, you and your doctor should have the Medifocus Guide. Once you download it, you'll get FREE updates on any PCOS research that comes out for the next year. It truly is a must have.
Im sorry that you cant afford that book but this site is filled with alot of useful and helpful info about PCOS so I do hope that you will stick around and give it a chance Feel free to contact me with anything you may need

I'm gonna invest in this book. I hope it is simple to understand. I've read so many books and they give me all these charts, diagrams, molecular symbols etc. I just some Kindergarten talk and easy to understand explainations! Thank you for the information.

I can't purchase, now, but plan too. the most important thing I'd like from it, though is questions for the doctor. I wrote down the site so I can give it to him later today.....but I'm anxous about the appointment.

One thing that has bothered me is when one tries to look up academic research in journals online it costs money - I wish information was more free.
You can look up and read the abstracts of most studies for free at PubMed. they always list the contact information of the lead researchers. If the full study isn't available for free, typically the researcher will send you the PDF for free if you shoot them a quick email.

Thank you!
The book listed in this thread is a download. It's available at the link in the op. The benefit of it is that it has gone through the volumes of pcos research, and organized the better and most relevant studies into categories.
Unlike most books in the bookstore (that cannot be updated), the guide posted in the OP is updated quarterly with the new research.
There is an international PCOS physician directory with contact information that can be used by you or your doctor if there are questions about a study.
In the years since I've been diagnosed, everytime I've emailed a doctor with a quick and concise question about pcos, they have responded.
