Just a quick note to say hi. I did post an update on Samuels webpage. The jist of things is he cries, and cries and cries.. and then laughs at mama and papa making silly faces for about 3 minutes, then cries some more! He has a little bit of a cold, he saw the doctor today and got some antibiotics just in case. She said normally she wouldn{t give him anything, but because he is so low in weight she insisted. He also got a special diet, which he actually eats compared to eating nothing yesterday!
LOOOOOONG day, off to nap before we have to wake him for medicine in 2 hours!

How does it work with Columbia--do you have him with you in your hotel the whole time you are there? Do you have lots of consulate and goverment appts?
I know you have better things to do than check in here but I'm thrilled that you have computer access!
Keep us posted! Give little Samuel a smooch from us!!

Lisa> Yes, he is in the hotel with us. We received custody of him after we had been here in Colombia only about 12 hours! We don't have any appointments right now. I'm sure that will change later though! They make us spend the first week just getting to know him, then we have to go back and sign another paper saying that we know him and still want to adopt him.
Juanchito (we still haven't worked on the name change thing) is doing MUCH better! He smiles in the morning when I peek in his crib and say "hola bebe!" and he spends so much time during the day playing with his papa that we practically have to force him to sleep. He's convinced if he just keeps playing the sleepiness will go away on it's own. He loves to play peek-a-boo and eat paper. Today he took his first steps. Probably only 3 of them counted as steps, since the others were basically him leaping toward one of us. He loves his mama and papa very much. Papa especially for playing, but when he is scared or very sleepy he wants his mama to cuddle him and bounce him in her arms. We had to do the CIO thing at nap time today.. right up until the time I heard "mama mama!" I started crying and about 10 seconds later Dan agreed to let me go get him!
OMG! All I could do was smile when I saw those pictures. He looks so happy--and so do you & DH!! Oh, it's just wonderful to see!
CONGRATULATIONS yet again!!!
