Points: 13,347.27 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 13,347.27 | estraidol My estraidol had been consistently low. I am reading Dr. Vliet's book on PCOS and she mentions the use of plant based bio-synthetic estraidol. Has anyone else used this? I am a terrible sleeper and I am hoping that this will help. |

But I am ttc right now. You didn't mention if you were. Are you just trying to treat the symptoms of PCOS or are you trying to conceive? Or are you doing both?

Points: 9,260.31 Bank: 510,747.47 Total Points: 520,007.78 | I think by plant based she means as opposed to equine derived estrogen products (ie estrogen from pregnant mare urine) -- plant estrogen that has been modified in the lab to be bio-identical to human estrogen (specifically 17-beta-estradiol). It is available with a prescription in several delivery forms. Generally a women would need to take either progesterone or progestin with an estrogen product in order to protect her uterus. In my experince it has been helpful for sleep quality. I don't have experience/knowledge about its use for fertility but it has seemed helpful to me for PCOS and syptoms that are related to low estrogen. |
