I lived in Evansville my whole, up until September of last year. I never really found a non-RE that was well versed in PCOS. My family doc, Dr. Robert Barnes, was great, though. He takes a lot of time with you, is exceedingly kind, and finds out as much as he can about your health issues. I've never liked a doctor as much as I liked him. My OB/GYN was Dr. Ralph Rogers at the Deaconess Women's Hospital. He really didn't know that much about PCOS, but he knew enough to order the correct bloodwork and diagnose me. He told me that my best bet was to see an RE in the area. I started seeing Dr. Leo Bonaventura at Midwest Reproductive Medicine (also at Deaconess Women's Hospital) shortly after that. I saw him mostly for IF treatment, but he sees people that aren't TTC as well, and he seems to take a very aggressive approach. I didn't get to know him that well (I got pg my first cycle and I mostly spoke with the nurse) but he was nice enough and I LOVED his staff. HTH!
