Unhappy Even with Yasmin, my ovarian cysts are recurring. HEARTBROKEN, help!!!

Hi. So I was diagnosed with PCOS a little over 2 months ago. They found I was a textbook case, (I was 22, VERY curvy, high cholesterol with a moderate diet, moody, tired and missing a period with pelvic pain) and that I also had a very large cyst in my uterus. Taking Metformin, Spironolactone and Yasmin (Ocella) have all made that one start to disappear, but I went in today after my 2nd period on all the medications to find that A NEW CYST HAD GROWN IN MY UTERUS. And its HUGE in comparison to the one disappearing. My doctor told me not to fret and instead to continue on the medication and check-in next month to see where it is at.

My hormone levels are all normal (low and in check) as is my blood sugar. What could make this possibly happen?

I'm so heartbroken and searching for answers!

Cysts generally form because they reach a point of maturation but do not ever get released or ovulated. Since you've had your period, it must have been another egg (you were going to ovulate two) that never was released. Unfortunately, if all of your levels are within the normal values it's hard to say the exact cause. But I do hope you find the reason everything is within range and you keep having cysts. What a good MD to do regular u/s to check for them!
