Default Evening Primrose Oil

I have read that Evening Primrose Oil and Starflower Oil helps regulate the hormone levels, so it is good for PCOS suffers. Is this true and how many of you are taking these vitamins.

I have used EPO to help with EWCM and have definitely noticed a difference. If you are TTC, you should only take it up until ovulation because it can cause uterine contractions

It can definitely help.

You should take it from Cycle Day 1 through to the first day you ovulate.

You shouldn't take it beyond ovulation because it can cause birth defects.

Here is some information about the benefits of EPO on fertility and cervical mucus.

I too am taking EPO....i didnt know you should only take it for the pre ovulatory phase though. As i wasnt having periods i had no idea where i was in my cycle. I am now on Metformin and have had two periods in a row (30 day cycle although i suspect the last one was annovulatory), am on day 17 now and i feel like things are changing (more/thinner CM) so should i stop taking EPO? I am not trying to conceive right now but wanted to get my cycles in order so i can start soon.

Does it only require 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off if you are trying for a baby or for everyone? Now i know where i am in my cycle i am wondering if i should do this?? Any help would be appreciated xxx

My nutritionist has told me to take EPO daily - been less than a month though so not sure if it's working yet...

Do you think you need to be on a low carb diet when taking primrose oil for it to work?
