I have a what looks like a skin tag on my eyelid- in the corner. My whole skin-body situation is a mess. Is this what you are talking about? It does annoy me and seems to 'scratch' my eyeball when allergy season starts. Haven't gotten that far with the DR. yet. I can only lay so much on him at once. LOL!!!

I got a couple of bumps on my eyelids that look like skin tags also. My mother used too tell me it was because I didn't wash my face enough. She was wrong about alot of things! Have you asked your doc about them? maybe there is something they could do about it??
I had the exact same thing. Woke up one morning and I looked like the Hunchback of Notre Dame. Needless to say, I wore my sunglasses during class. My doctor gave me an antibiotic and sold me to continue the hot compresses. It took about two days for mine to go down, and about two weeks for the solid mass to disappear.
One of the worst experiences ever! It was very annoying!
Good luck! Hope it starts working for you!

It's definately not a skin tag, it's like a huge cyst, but on my eyelid! I've had this one off and on for like 6 months now. I have a doc appt next May and I think it's about time I either get it surgically removed or some kind of cream.
I'm a school teacher so I've had lots of comments from my students, their parents, and fellow collegues. So embarrasing!
I did have one of those skintag things on my eyelid a while back, it was pretty annoying but tiny and ended up going away on its own after about a month.

i had this a few months back and it would hurt every time i blinked.. My doctor gave me some viscous antibiotic drops and told me to continue with the hot compress two or even three times a day.. She said the hot compress works better than the antibiotic! Anyway, it went off after a month or so.. 6 months seems like a long time to have it, i remember it was extremely uncomfortable

I've been doing the hot compresses and it's making my eyelid very puffy. This is okay as long as it works!
Well what happens is that it has varying levels of inflamation. It's always there but sometimes is so little that you don't notice it and at other times it flares up (like right now) and is huge. This is the third flare up and the worst yet. I am getting myself all freaked out because when I looked up reoccuring chalazions it was a symptom of some kind of cancer. Now, I don't REALLY think this is the case but you know how your thoughts can go wild on you...lol.
Anyhow, I think I'll go to the doctor if this isn't gone soon.

lol, i know how the internet makes me freak out.. any symptom i check out ultimately leads to some sort of fatal disease.. but do get it checked if its stays much longer.. you dont want the eye to be badly infected or something

we see this quite a bit in our office--i work for an an eye doc. most of the time, they will try warm compress, then anitbotics. if that doesn't work, then they see the opthamologist that comes to our office and he will lance it. most of the time that takes care of the problem! try and get in at your eye doctor! good luck.

I've had lots of chalazions over the years...another example of my body making cysts...it's another one of those annoying PCOS things!
My eye doctor gave me a little kit to wash my eyelids regularly...basic hygiene to prevent them from forming. Some sort of solution and sterile cotton pads. Ask your eye doctor, or at least check at the pharmacy...I think you can get it without a perscription. Keep your hands clean when you touch your eyes, too!
The hot compresses really help but attack the chalazion as soon as you notice it. The sooner you treat it, the easier it will be to get rid of it...just like fever blisters.
Chalazions are more like stys...they are NOT the same as skin tags. Chalazions will hurt and skin tags most likely won't.
