Default Ever had sugar problems after stopping Metformin

I have always had a very normal sugar level. I was just wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with their sugar level going up after stopping Metformin. I'm affraid that my body will become dependent upon it.

Thanks for any info.

As far as I am aware, if you are not diabetic and come off of Met it shouldn't be a problem, otherwise I am sure that Dr's wouldn't prescribe it for non diabetics who have pcos. Have you looked at any of the info on Metformin on here?

You would have to be diabetic to start with. Metformin makes your body more efficiently use the insulin it is already producing. In order for your blood sugar to go up, your insulin level would have to be impaired - and Met doesn't do that.
