I have dry skin and its usually flawless except around my chin area where it seemed to get irritated more. After being completely frustrated month after month, I started using Everyday mineral makeup. Its got like 4 natural ingredients...no harsh chemicals like traditional makeup. I love it because its so incredibly light on the skin that it doesnt even feel like I'm wearing makeup at all. After a couple of days I could actually see my face healing...after 2 months my skin tone is more even, post acne red marks have nearly vanished completely and my skin looks incredible!
If you're interested in trying it, you can order a generous free sample at their website www.everydayminerals.com
Hope this helps someone else....I love this stuff!

i too have discovered this stuff! i ordered the free samples and i've tried it twice but i can't figure out how to use it haha. i end up looking really dark or something and i don't feel like i get the coverage i should be getting? i ordered one of the brushes it requires but i don't know how to use it! how do you use it and get great coverage??
ashley: I have dry skin, but I aways use a heavy moisturizer prior to applying makeup so instead of choosing their "glo" finish for dry skin, I buy the "semi matte" which counteracts the moisturizer I use beforehand. They have 4 finishes I believe...semi matte, matte, intensive and glo. You can read them to figure out which one is best for you.
Now the colors is a little more difficult. I have slightly pink undertones but I dont wear the cool foundations because I've found all makeup in the cool area tends to make me look pink. I instead opt for the Neutral tones. I actually use the "Light Neutral Semi Matte" foundation. If you have pink undertones to your skin I would suggest picking a cool and neutral selection in your free sample just to try both.
Applying is actually a lot easier than it looks. The brush really is important. I'm not sure which brush you got..but the kabuki will help tremendously if you're not use to applying makeup this way. If you only have the sample size...tap a little out onto a small plate...then swirl your kabuki in it until its all on the brush...lightly tap the extra off and then apply it to your face in a circular motion. Keep circling it on your face making sure to blend all over...especially blending your face into your neck so you dont have any lines. I actually do not use much at all. One of those tiny samples could last me about 3 weeks. If you want more coverage, try the Intensive finish. You can also choose a brush whose hairs are very compact which puts more makup on to your face. Also once its all applied , I like to go over my face with a round sponge to blend even more and get that smooth, natural look.
Let me know how that works...hopefully you'll like it too =)

i didn't know what coverage to get so i got intensive. my skin isn't oily but does tend to get dry so it sounded the best. i bought the mini kabuki brush so i've been using that for my face and i have a concealer brush i've been using for spots. i'm getting better and better with practice lol the sample sizes are great and i've had this stuff for over a week and i'm still not even close to being half way through them. i'll try applying in a circular motion, i was just brushing basically.
I love EM. I found that the light foundations were too light for me, though (and I'm rather pasty.) I mixed a light one with a medium one and it was perfect. I also love their black eyeliner powder.
the circular motion thing makes such a difference! i love this stuff now that i can get it to look natural lol
i also mix shades. i just got a bit of a sunburn so i was worried the makeup would look weird on it and it didn't, it looked great. my skin has also been better since i've stopped using regular makeup...which was tough because i loved covergirl products! this stuff is so much better for your skin though and gives even better coverage i think.
I love, love, love EM!! I've worn nothing but mineral foundations for nearly three years and don't see me ever using anything else. A few months ago, I started wearing EM (intensive formulation) and really do like it!
You don't HAVE to use a kabuki brush, but I do find it to be most helpful. For a deeper coverage, you can also used a flocked sponge.

I'm thrilled you guys have enjoyed the same benefits! The stuff is addicting..and the results are amazing in my opinion.
Ashley: I know the application is a bit different that regular makeup, but a lot of practice has helped me develop my own routine and now application is a breeze! I'm glad things are working well for you too!
Kasey: I'm sure you can use any brand of brush you prefer...I didnt have many brushes at first, so I just ordered their brushes along with my samples. Plus its just a fun way to apply makeup...it makes me wanna become a makeup artist!
Btw, their soft bronzer is awesome...it gives a natural sunkissed look =)

I love this stuff, too--a way better deal than the BareMinerals, and just as good, if not better! The only thing that I did like better with BareMinerals is their kabuki brush, but I bet the EM could be just as good if I worked at it!

I just posted in another thread about my making my own mineral makeup.
I just started selling it on eBay,for much less than the brand names, and I use no cheap fillers like talc or bismuth oxychloride (which causes itching but is added to a few big name's mineral makeup).
I make all my products myself,I don't resell for other companies.
the eBay link is in my sig.
Blessings,
Becca
