Angry Eww...Embarassing

This is very embarassing for me to speak about but for the past 2 years I have had to start waxing my butt. I don't mean my cheeks. I go to a very sweet older lady that does it for me (poor thing) Anyway my question is the following... Is it normal to have alot of hair there?? she has shown it to me and for it's location ..it's long! I mean I hate it. I can't beleive I have thinning hair on my head and have hair growing like wild on my a**. Sorry for the ugly details but is this normal for PCOS??

In short, yep, it's really common if not exactly normal. And if it's any comfort to you, it happens to a lot of non-PCOSers, too.

OMG!!! I know how you feel. I posted a thread about that awhile back. It is so embarassing.. I made the mistake of shaving it now its all prickly. its so embarassing...my boyfriend trys to touch my bear bottom all the time and IM always pushing his hand away...Im sure he can feel the prickles but I never say anything to him about it!! Your lucky you have someone to wax it...I dont know anyone that would do that for me lol... but I wish I did... It sucks.....I hate PCOS ..it makes me feel so ugly!

I take it your talking about hair in the crack . . . which is something I contend with as well .

The Brazilian wax, as I understand it, removes all hair from the vulva and between the cheeks of the rear end.

Such a wax wouldn't have been created for just us PCOS women, so we can assume that many if not all women have some hair there. Perhaps we just have it to a greater degree.

Yes thats It! Hair in the crack! I do get the brazilian wax... and boy does it hurt. I tried shaving but I can't hold one cheek and shave the other and the pricklies come in faster than with waxing. I just feel weird.. ashamed, I guess.

I have it, too. It sucks, but it's nice to know that we're not alone! I tend to take a deep breath when I'm in the shower and try to pull some of them out. It doesn't hurt too much for me.

i have it all over my cheeks, and its extremely humiliating. but luckily, dh and i joke about it. he knows i shave it, and i told him no matter what the situation, before i give birth, he must do something about that hair!!! its so embarrasing!

Red face

Jess,
You crack me up!! (no pun intended). I had to laugh out loud b/c I told my dh the same exact thing!!! I told him if we ever got pregnant and I went into labor, he would have to help me shave before we went to the hospital.

Glad to know I'm not the only one.

I had a lot of hair there until I started getting a Brazilian wax a few months ago and it is all gone! I do have to admit that I have had an ingrown hair there and it is pretty uncomfortable---exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate!
