I have been going to Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility & Menopause @ 3 Mobile Infirmary Circle | Suite 213 Mobile, Alabama 36607. The phone number is (251) 438-4200. My doctor is Dr. George Koulianas . He is an absolute God send. I have been to many doctors in the past. All were mediocre doctors. He is awesome! His website is www.infertilityalabama.com. Even if you live to far away to see him, he has a good website.

Hi, Ya'll

I live in Pensacola and I'm having a hard time finding a doc who will prescribe metformin to me. I have seen one RE (B. Ripps), but since my GTT results were in the normal range, he says I'm not IR (I *know* I am because I have all the symptoms) and won't prescribe it. I'm desperate because I just can't lose weight no matter what--even on Atkins Induction. Do you think Dr. K in Mobile would be more helpful?

One of the first things he said to me is Are you still on the Met? I am not IR myself.

I am IR and Dr Inge prescribed it for me. Im sure Dr K is the same way! They are both great drs!

Great! Thanks for responding so quickly. If I don't get any help from the new gyno that I'm going to see pretty soon, I'll make an appt. with one of these doctors in Mobile.
