Thank you soo much that was good. I have a strange question. Androgens cause hirsutism and head hair loss. I am very, very hairy but also vain and so I have spent lots of money treating excess hair. My head hair is very, very thick and absolutely no signs of hair loss---Why do I have such dramatically thick hair on my head if androgens are the cause of me feeling one gene away from a female ape??

It can be. Yes, an actual gene causes hair on the lower arms and fingers. I studied it in biology. But I do believe that pcos causes this too.
I'll try to shave my finger and toes but I always miss some. This pcos hair is harder to shave and pluck.
My dad's side, my grandmother doesn't even have leg hair. I wish that was me.

Question Laser Hair Removal

Kat,

Was your LHR successful? I tried it a few years ago and it did NOT work for me...I was very upset and frustrated, not to mention out a TON of money for it. I have been hesitant ever since to try it again, but I figure there have been many advanced in technology since then......do you have any input/info on this?

I have been going for hair treatment for 3 years and still need more. I'm doughting that it works everywhere. My underarms are pretty much hair free, but the face is not what i was hoping for. I still have to pluck during the summer, because you cannot have the treatments if you have a tan.

THANK YOU!!!!!

I had laser removal, it helped for the time being. Now that I've stopped, my hair issue has gotten WORSE. According to the tests, my testosterone is normal, but my androgen levels are OVER DOUBLE what they are supposed to be. =/ You just answered one of my unknown questions, and saved me lots of money, I was thinking of getting it again.

Yes, mine was successful. One thing to be careful about is keeping your androgens under control during and after laser...or the hair will come back. But that's not the 'fault' of laser, it's simply the way the body works.
