Default Excessive menstrual bleeding - please help!

I have PCOS so my cycles are never regular. Usually every 45-70 days or so. I am on Metformin right now which helps regulate it a bit. I was also on it for a long time before my daughter and never had any problems so I don't think that is the problem now. I had a period at the beginning of January and then another at the beginning of February. I started on February 6 and it lasted around 6 days. It was heavier than normal with lots of clots. Soaked right through my cloth pads and even leaked when wearing a disposable. On Feb. 21 I was surprised to see some spotting. I had more pinkish spotting on the morning of Feb. 22. I went to playgroup and when I came home and went to the bathroom my underwear were soaked with blood. Another cycle so quickly? I just figured it was weird but not worrisome. Well now its 2 days later and it is so heavy that I am again in disposable pads and I'm soaking one super absorpent pad every 1-2 hours. And I mean soaked - as in leaking out the sides onto my underwear! I have been feeling really cold and shaky too but I've had that before due to blood sugar issues so it isn't necessarily related to AF. Any advice?

Default Not sure

I'd see the doctor, since your hormones could be out of whack. I know that being cold can also be a sign of anemia (which wouldn't be surprising since you're bleeding so much). Try taking an iron supplement (or eating leafy greens).
