Question excessive sweating, to much male or female hormones

I am excessive sweating. That means even if I am watching tv or reading a book I am breaking out in sweat. The water is running down my face, my chest my beck. It has nothing to do with the weather. It is the same thing with cold weather. And I am not overweighet.
Sometimes I think it started with the BCP Yasmin, I dont know it.
So my question is, are we sweating (not only the PCO Ladies) when we got to much male hormones or female hormones.

Is it also possible to get more wrinkles with PCO. I know stupid question, but was just wondering. When I see women with nice hair, nice skin, no bodyhair etc. they just dont have any wrinkles in the eyearea or somewhere else.

For me, the sweating started after I began BCP's.

See this thread for more input: Heavy sweating issue anyone?

thanks katcarney

seems like i am not alone. So that means to me, we are sweating because we have to my male hormones.

When I get my flutamide or Casodex I will stop with Yasmin. Then I can tell if the sweating was more worse with the BCP

My male hormone were high for years before I started BCP, and I had no sweating problem at all. It only started when I took bcp's for my pcos.

I'm with you. By the time I get ready for work, I have sweat running down my back. It doesn't matter whether it's hot, cold, whatever. My hair will be soaked and sweat running in my eyes. The night sweats are wonderful. I'm not even on BCP anymore, and haven't been for two years. I'm just old.(37)

Please you not old.
Its just the cursed bane we have with PCO.
That is so unfair.
The worst is when you are in the bus and everybody is freezing and I am the only one who is sweating like crazy and you just feel how everybody is looking at you and they think whats wrong with her.
Sometimes I just act like I got the flu, also when the salesperson looking weird to me, I say oh yes my sweating, sorry I just picked up the flu from someone.

I know. I'll be sitting in a room full of people and they're all complaining how cold it is. I'm using anything I can find as a fan. I think my mom was worried this winter because she kept asking me if th house felt cold. It was one of the only places I could cool off.

I don't sweat toooo much under normal conditions... but I sweat very very easily! I started using the secret clinical strength deodorant and it actually keeps my pits dry!

I have very bad night sweats though.... I wake up soaked most of the time... although, they've been going away since I've been cutting sugar out of my diet...

It's not the result of the cysts. The cysts are a symptom, just like the other issues...not the cause.

I'm also hot all the time. I work in a corp enviroment with lots of computers and servers so the air is set pretty low due to the sensitivity of the equipment. My co-workers are all turning blue and bundled up while I'm still looking for a fan or sneaking off to the server room where its really cold! I know its hormones, I started with hot flashes and night sweats before I was 30 and no one belived me...they do now! LOL
Even at the gym where its okay to sweat I out sweat everyone-I figure it just makes me look like I'm working out harder!!! Hey, I tend to take what I can get these days.

I feel you ameliapaige.
I am 29 and my mum who is 48 (i know got a young mum) is not sweating like I do.
The doctors never believe me when I tell them, that I am sweating so much.

katcarney, what is the cause of all this symptones? I thought the cysts make all this mess with our bodies. Is it because we have too much male hormones thats why we get cysts or the opposite?
Have no idea

Scientists are not sure what causes PCOS. Some think the cause is genetic. Others think the cause is "Insulin Resistance". Either way, the cysts are not the cause.

To read more about insulin resistance, go to the RESEARCH ARTICLES forum here on the message board.

Near the top, you will see an INSULIN RESISTANCE 'QUICK LINKS'

Okay, so after I posted this I went to the gym as I do most days. I must have channeled all the sweat talk b/c I was totally soaked after 30 minutes, as I've said I've grown accustomed to it but even for me it was excessive! After I finished my cardio I continued sweating profusely from my head for the remainder of my workout. Is there a pill or something you can take to decrease the amount of sweatiness? ha-ha

Not where fitness is concerned. Typically you'll sweat sooner and more profusely during exercise, as you become more fit. It's a sign that your body is become more efficient at cooling itself off during exercise.
