Yeah the whole up and back to normal activities in 2 days never worked for me either. It was more like 2 weeks before I began to be somewhat normal but definitely not 2 days. Like you said before the stupid gas they give you takes longer than 2 days to leave! I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Thanks Jacquie.

Well, I mustve "jinxed" myself as I got my period yesterday. I'd had a crap headache for a few days before which is a sign its coming but didn't get the pre-period dragging feeling until a few hours before it came. Oh boy did it let me know it's here **cry** pain city, again!

I was saying to my Mum yesterday that I actually feel kinda disappointed they didnt find endo because that would at least explain my pain!! I'm looking forward to seeing my gyno for my follow up appmt in a few weeks, have lots of questions for him.

I've had so much pain for like a whole year now. At first no one could figure it out b/c they thought I had PCOS, but didn't think it should cause so much pain. Then finally I had a lap and they found out I have both endo and PCOS. However, they cut out all the endo, but I still had so much pain b/c my ovaries were so enlarged with tons of cysts. Then they drilled my ovaries and found no current growths of endo. Now I'm in horrible pain again and they don't think my ovaries are enlarged (they feel a lot smaller during pelvic exams) so I'm thinking my endo has come back. My obgyn doesn't want to believe it tho b/c it was gone and my body was responding well to the lupron depot shots until i went off them in august. All I know is that something is causing this horrible pain again and it certainly feels like it did a year ago befor i was diagnosed. Hopefully I can find the answer soon. After a year of this, and not being able to go to school or work, I'm wondering if I'll ever be pain free! Maybe I should try to get disability.... Any advice on what I should do next? I'm thinking of insisting my obgyn to put me back on the shots or do another lap to get all the endo... It's just so hard to tell the experts what they should do.... What if I'm wrong and it's not endo but something else. All i know is that the pain is very real and none of the tests i've taken (urine, blood, ct scans) have shown anything. Thanks ladies!

Default Endo pain..what finally worked for me.

Nothing seemed to touch the pain with my periods which happened 2-3 times per month until I realized that the pain was like air or gas bubbles and I tried taking full spectrum digestive enzymes (enzymes that digest protien, fats and carbohydrates). If I took them before expecting my period (usually a migraine let me know it was coming) the cramps would be minimized, if I took them while I was having bad cramps ( and i took three or four 2-3 times a day) it would eliminate the pain by the next day. Nothing else worked!!!

My Endo pain was not eliminated by the Laparotomy and I couldn't tolerate Lupron for more then the first shot---mood swings/depression/crying spells/hotflashes etc. but I did get pregnant after the Laparotomy and after my twins were born the pain returned... that is when I discovered digestive enzymes. Give it a try.
