I don't know if it is PCOS related or not, but I go through the same thing. For me, I usually start to feel better once I start bleeding heavy, usually CD2. By then my cramps aren't as bed, even though I feel like I should invest in Always Overnights!
Something that has helped is to really limit my caffeine intake the week before I know AF is coming. I love those disposable Thermawrap pads! Also chamomile tea is a natural muscle relaxer and decaffeinated. Also, naproxen is much better then many other otc pills because it is an anti-inflammatory.
I wish there was more to tell you, but these are the things that I've had luck with!
