I'd just like to share a big thumbs up for my latest acquisition - the Charlie Brooks DVD! Been doing it for only two weeks, but I'm sure it's having some effect... My weight's been coming off painfully slowly since January, but my measurements stuck the same from before that - I think my waist and hips have been about the same since about Nov or Dec last year, despite running and a LOT of exercise! In the past couple of weeks, I've suddenly lost another inch off waist and hips and I suspect it's down to this DVD.
When I first started exercising back in July, I'd wake up every morning with aches and pains. Gradually, without me noticing, they stopped as I got fitter. But after the first few times of doing this one, I really felt it in my waist the following day. It's also got some quite challenging moves - it's taken me a couple of weeks to get them all, and even now I'm struggling with a few which is good as sometimes you can get it all in one or two goes, then get bored fast! I'm especially enjoying the body combat and the pilates cool down at the end!
What are your favourite DVDs/videos and how do you know when it's a good one that works?

Rosemary's new Slim and Salsasize one is her best yet, I think! I did one of her's in the 90s, forget which one but I always preferred Beverley Callard's. (Still do 'Real Results' - it's still good!) But I got both of her salsasize ones and really enjoy them!

Excellent!! Glad you found one that works for you. I contemplated getting it when it came out, you may've just inspired to visit play.com, lol I have also been running every night now for quite a few weeks with no noticeable difference or weight loss.
Am just about to start juicing, so combined with the running and hopefully some other sort of workout (maybe this DVD) I may have some luck. I dunno who I am kidding, nothing has worked for about a year but it's worth another shot!

I have just brought Rosemary Colney Salsacise Video and have been doing it for a week now and have noticed dramatic changes in toning of my body. I really enjoy it. I also wanted something slightly more upbeat so brought Davina McCall's newest video. Excellent. I thought it wouldn't be that good but was expectionally suprised as I have only done the workout once and cannot believe how it has worked the muscles I forgot I had. I shall continue exercising everyday as I want to be slim and stay slim.
They are definately worth a buy.
Good luck to everyone.

i recently bought, max and paddys work out video... Gee i sound so sad! but its hillarious ! and it is actually a pretty good work out if i do say so myself!! i recommend it ! - even if its just for a laugh.
I thought of getting my husband that one! I doubt it would get him exercising, although you never know...
With the sunny days I've been walking upto 5 miles a day, jogging some bits and now back to gardening which must burn more calories than owt as I'm always STARVING when I've been gardening a couple of hours! So I've not been doin my DVDs so often as I was a month or two back. Still loving the Charlie one though.

I got that one but did it a couple of times but wasn't impressed with it. I feel they did all the boxing moves wrong (if you do the tae-bo workout you'll know what I mean). I'm selling it on ebay at the moment.
I got the Divina 3x30 minute workouts & (don't laugh) the Jordan workout, which I find much better.
Glad you are enjoying it.

Ahh i have a Tae -Bo (spelling may be inaccurate), but yeh ur right! although sometimes, i must say i honestly hands up prefer to be abit more laid back when i do it, have a giggle at the same time kinda thing, because then it feels like im having fun, not just exercising (the kid in me comes out)! But the Tae-Bo one works a treat, and wears me straight out ! hurrahhh for day time napping!! xxxxxxxx
I rented a Tae Bo from Amazon but I found the man in it really irritating and the production values ropey - I know exercise DVDs are made on the cheap, but it just put me off too much! Another US one I tried and couldn't cope with was 'Walk Away The Pounds' which I know people rave about - but I just kept thinking *Get a life, woman! Why not do something shocking and er... go for a real walk! In reality!* And again, the amateurishness of the production values put me off. Superficial, I know! I think my DVDs are a winter thing for me, now the sun is (almost) shining and the leaves are back on the trees, I don't want to be indoors much so by night time (when I normally do DVDs) I'm too knackered from all the walking/running and other stuff! I do the odd half hour here and there of my favourite bits, though - last week I did some of Dan Karaty's 'Hotpants' DVD which looks cheesy but is great fun (he doesn't annoy me, either!)

Hello girls,
i was told the angela griffin dvd is really good especially if you are into dancing. she was on gmtv last month she really recommended it to those who hated the gym she lost alot of weight too.
mel x
I've rented Angela Griffin's one from Amazon too (it's a great way to try out exercise DVDs before you buy them!) and would recommend it, although I haven't got round to buying it yet. It was really fun to do, and probably one of the better dance DVDs I've tried.
