At my local Target, yesterday, I was BL: CardioMax and BL: PowerSculpt. Both were on sale for $12. I 'think' I saw BL2, as well, but you can get both BL1 and BL2 at DeepDiscountDVD for about $20 for both dvd's.

They have free shipping (that can sometimes take awhile). I choose that option when i don't mind waiting. I think you can 'upgrade' the shipping time for $5.95 (which works out great if you're ordering BL1, 2, CM, AND PS.)

Yeah, it looked fun..and HARD for a beginner like me...I also peeked at the Striptease, and it looks dumb..(for me atleast)..I did a lil 19 min in home walk they had on there...I did the warm up on the Jillian Michaels video and was wore out..that was just the warm up!!! And I tried doing the jumping jacks without a bra..NEGATIVE!! When you are a 42 G it just doesn't feel good!! I can't wait to get started!! I'm excited...

Deepdiscount was out of stock and Amazon was not shipping until the end of April. I guess this video is in high demand! I ended up ordering through Collage for the extra few dollars, they claim to be shipping on March 31st. I'm just an impatient gal.

Ok, well I knocked out:

- CardioMax w/ Bob 25 minutes
- Shred #1 20 minutes
- 3 mile walk outside 50 minutes

Doing it in that order had me SPENT. I had to use lighter weights than normal for the Jillian workout, and todays walk? I really felt it. It's quite hilly, and normally, I rip up and down the hills...tonight I was struggling a bit.

But I did it.

Tomorrow we go again!

I can't wait till everyone gets their videos!

You know yesterday's workout wasn't bad, and really didn't feel that long. I think because the BL and Shred segmens are essentially in 20 minute chunks (outside of WU/CD), they go by really quickly.

I must say, I was SPENT last night (in a good way). I LOVE feeling like that.

Several years ago, I had a trainer in LA who worked me out like that (and worse), and he followed a format similar to what I did yesterday:

- Warm up
- 20 minutes of VERY high intensity cardio intervals
- 45 minutes Strength Training
- 1 hour of low intensity steady state cardio
- stretch

The change in my body was AMAZING in just 6 weeks - amazing. (ie dropped nearly 2 sizes)

Another time, I went to Barry's Bootcamp for a month, and again - amazing results. (the format at Barry's is Warm up + 30 minutes HIGH INTENSITY treadmill + 30 minute strength training + stretch...or...warm up + 60 minutes rotating between 5 minutes HIGH INTENSITY treadmill and 5 minutes strength + stretch.)

The similarity of the two training methods was the intensity...really cranking up the heat (in a safe way).

Think about when we watch BL...they are working HARD! Get ready ladies!

Kat,

I am not sure about how often Exercise TV rotates their programs. There have been some that I have done that have been on there for months, and others, such as the workouts with Bob that I LOVED that seemed to have disappeared after a month or earlier.

I did Shred #2 this morning--WHEW!!!!!! It's a workout. Hope exercise TV doesn't do away with it before my DVD comes in!

All my praise goes to you Kat...you are a sick sick woman!! Me and dh just did BL CardioMax w/ Bob..OMG...I was ready to pass out!! And you did all the other workouts after that!! You are my idol!!!

HAH! It really wasn't that bad. 40 minutes of hard work, and then 50 minutes of light walking. I bet you and DH could do it. Why not try tomorrow

Ok...I went and got BL Cardio Max at Target it was on sale for $12.99. Came home got all ready put it in my DVD player and wasn't able to workout because I don't have my DVD remote. I usually just pop the video were gonna watch and press play well I learned with this you can't you gotta have a remote. So, I gotta look through some of my boxes for the remote here in awhile if I can't find it it's off to the store to get one. I really want to workout to this TONIGHT!

I found my remote and popped the DVD in. You know a girl is just out of shape when just the warm up kicked my butt. I did the warm up and then a little bit after that then I had to go sit down and drink some water. Bob was great but man I really must be out of shape to be huffing and puffing just after the warm-up. After that I went outside and washed the car. I will try it again here in awhile. I don't know how I will even handle Shred.

Shred is not as hard as CardioMax (in the same way). CM is just hardcore cardio.

We'll be here when you get back and finish the workout, and look for your report. You don't have to do every rep of every minute, but stick it out, and break as you need to (without sitting down to drink. You don't need to 'sit' to drink, Wendy. KEEP MOVING!!)

Hey, now. Let's keep a positive attitude. You'll do fine. Look at the people on BL... They're working out 4 hours a day...

ok...here's my workout for today:

- 20 minutes BL #1 High Intensity Cardio (HIC)
- 20 minutes BL #1 Strength & Sculpt
- 20 minutes BL #1 Bootcamp
- 25 minutes walk outside (about 1.5 miles)

Today's workout wasn't as hard as yesterday's. HIC isn't nearly as hard as CardioMax, but it doesn't use weights so it might be a good workout to do before Shred 2 or 3, since you'll need to preserve upper body strength before getting to Jillian.

S&S was 'ok'. Kinda tough...kinda boring...the ab section was killer (in a good way)

Bootcamp? WAY boring because there was too much repetition for my taste, and Bob didn't do those signature 'high to low' moves like he does on CardioMax. I love those.. I think I"ll be scratching this one off of my 'list' of possible workouts.

I have the Carmen collection! It feels silly at first but it's fun. The first video was always too easy for me, even at my unhealthiest. The second, however, is pretty challenging! I only did the third and fourth a few times each because I was having too much fun trying to kill myself with the second, lol! In any case, they're fun if you like to dance.



No I finally know what direction I'm heading in when I get my routine back in place! I was just remarking the other night that I wish I had Jillian around to yell at me, lol!

Also, I was kinda sorta formulating what my post baby workout goals and routines will be. This video will be included! I'm getting a new pair of running shoes to restart the Couch to 5K program (even found a 5K in San Deigo in Jan 09- I'll be there!) and I can do this on my off days... I'm going to need to write this all down. Babbling now...
