Exhausted!

Hello ladies! I am 35 yrs old and for the past coupls of months have felt so completely exhausted! I experienced a bleed that went on for over 2 months and then subsided about 2 weeks after having an emergency D&C done. I just started a new pack of BCP's (Yasmin) on Sunday and all I can say is that I am soo tired now I can hardly keep my eyes open at work, let alone concentrate on what I'm supposed to be doing. I am sipping caffeinated drinks (iced tea & coke) all day long just to take the edge off, but I am having a lot of trouble focusing. Has anyone else experienced this bone deep tiredness while on BCP's? I am wondering if it's my age or something else?

Just a thought but could you be anemic?? Being anemic could cause you to be tired, and doesn't matter how much caffeine you sip it won't help. Did they check your iron levels after the d&c?? You may want to get that checked, bleeding that much could cause you to lose alot of iron. Ask your dr to check your levels. Good Luck hope you pep up!!

Because you bled so long, I was also going to suggest you may be anemic. Sea is right, that can make you very tired no matter how much caffiene you have. Iron supplements can help if that is the case.

I was anemic after the birth of my second daughter and you are describing me to a T!!!
The tiredness is consuming and if someone paid you a million bucks you would not be able to snap out of it!!!
I'd say have your hemoglobin checked and I can almost guarantee you that your report will come back as having low iron!!!
