I do not get a period unless induced, either by birth control or provera. I suffer all of the symptoms - dramatic weight gain, insulin resistance, unwanted facial/ body hair, etc etc etc :) I am currently on 1500mg of met daily, along with provera monthly. Does anyone out there have a positive clomid story with a similar history?? This journey is emotionally draining... No one truly understands where I'm coming from... And I know I am strong enough to handle what comes my way, but I just NEED to know that someone out there who's just like me has gotten pregnant and carried that baby to full term. I'm so afraid to have a miscarriage. OK that was a lot of info... But thanks for reading!

Has anyone been on Metformin and Duphaston at the same time? I have previously taken Met 500mg in 2009 for 6 months (had no influence on me at all) and now I'm being put back to Met 500 for few weeks, then upping to 1000 for 6 months. As I haven't had AF since 2008 (when I quit Diane35), it seems I will be getting Duphaston too. Also, my male hormones are high, other than that I'm fine: thyroid, kidney, liver are all functioning great and no IR.

Have any of You had success with Duphaston? I'm personally a very healthy eater (low gi, pcos modified), love my exercise and have been loosing weight slowly (35 pounds so far), which all have helped with my full-house-syndrom basically. BUT .. being all organic and pro-nature, I feel highly uncomfortable about taking Duphaston as a synthetic progesterone. Then again I'm wondering if Duphaston can help induce periods (even just 4 times a year?), then maybe why not? Is it something we are supposed to take long-term or is it a short-term medicine?

I've read tons of articles, read the pharmaceutical information on Duphaston and gone through the posts here on SCysters, but not too many posts on Duphaston as such really.
BCP is out of question for me, I never want to do that again and for me, personally, didn't work well.

Your thoughts, experience's, advice?

Hi ladies! I just finished my first round of clomid 50mg about a week ago and I've been miserable ever since. I know about and have experienced the usual side effects, hot flashes, mood swings, ovary pain but for the last 5 days I've had the most intense leg pain in my right calf, and huge knots right under both shoulder blades that have been making it hard to take deep breathes. Thankfully my husband was able to rub the knots out of my back and I can breathe again but my leg feels like a continuous Charlie horse.

I read the side effects that came with my rx and it says if you experience severe or persistent back or leg pain to call pharmacy or Dr. I called the pharmacy and they told me to call the Dr, I did but that was 2 hours ago and I'm still waiting for his nurse to call me back.

Should I just suck it up and deal with it, could it all just be a coincidence or is this more severe than I think? I haven't been able to find any other posts about this, it seems everyone was complaining of lower back pain!

Any insight is greatly appreciated!

I have been on 100mg clomid since march 2012. I originally had it when I conceived my dd who is nearly 6 but 100mg wouldnt work properly so they tried 150mg and it worked.

The fertility clinic are reluctant to put me up to 150mg as they have lost their scanning facility so basically all I am having is a day 22 progesterone test. Over last year I have only ovulated as per blood results about 3 times.

I spoke to the clinic today and the secretary said the consultant (who I have never seen as i only see registrars) has said with my bmi being above 35 (its 38 but I got it down from early 40's) he is not willing to try 150mg until bmi is 35 or below. I have 2 doses of 100mg clomid left and she said its my decision if i take it or not

My weight is similar to when I conceived my daughter on the 150mg.

I am now worried that ive been on clomid too long (all the hype on ovarian cancer etc) and that its never gonna work and they wont help until I loose even more weight.

They are also talking about ovarian drilling being safer than higher dose of clomid.

Im so fed up now (sorry for moaning post)
