Hi, I was curious how high everyone's TSH has gotten before. I am wondering if there were any lasting side effects. Mine was at 146 (yes, I said 146 TSH) for two months, then 80-88 for four months after having my thryoid removed. I couldn't even regulate my body temp for a while. I finally got on better meds (didn't react to 5 other meds), but now my T4 is elevated by a couple points. I am on 400 mcg of Levothroid. I am TTC and am worrying about this. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Mine was only 26 (not that that's not high) when I got diagnosed. I'm only on 75 mcg synthroid. I did concieve, but miscarried at 6 or 7 weeks. Good luck and baby dust.

I am so sorry for your loss. Thank you so much for the reply and the baby dust!
Mine also wasn't that high but I know it needs to be under control before you start TTC, also your TSH needs to be between 1-2 when you are TTC.
What are your TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 numbers, also if you are still symptomatic you may need some T3 added to your meds especially since your thyroid has been removed as our thyroid makes T3 and T4 so you would think we would also need that in a medication and that Drs would give it.
What I know about numbers is you want a TSH of between 1-2, Free T3 and Free T4 you want in the HIGH end of normal and that is from all my years of research on being Hypo for me and my daughter, Personally I wouldn't even try TTC until everything is in the normal range as it can cause miscarriage and or birth defects.
Good Luck.

Your Free T4 is still too low needs to be higher, but I am also betting you need T3 meds also the next time I went to the dr I would ask for TSH, Free T3 and Free T4 that way you know what your levels are.
