Unhappy Extremely lonely and confused!

Hello everyone! My name is Jessica and I am 23 yrs old, I was told my my doctor last year that I have PCOS. She wasnt able to tell me anything about this condition so I had to do some research of my own, the only problem is Im still very confused. I dont know anyone else with this problem, I feel so alone and confused, and just the thought that I may not be able to have any children crushes me, I think about it all day everyday. I used to take bc but every single kind my doctor gave me literally made me sick to my stomach, I just couldnt take it anymore, so because of this I havent had a cycle in months..any advice?

Hi Jessica. Welcome to SC.

Are you overweight? Sometimes being overweight can cause issues with a PCOS girls cycle.

Hi Jessica, I hear you saying that the BCP make you sick to your stomach, I've had similar experiences, but I try to fight through it for the first couple months. Now i'm on Yasmin (for almost 3 months) and it really helps not to mention that i've heard it is really important to have periods ( i was only having about 2 per year at most) to shed the lining of the uterus to keep it healthy and decrease the risk of any uterine problems including cancer. Do you have reg. periods? I'm also on Met. and it makes all of the GI problems worse, but I just suffer through it to increase my odds in the future, because having babies would be worth every second! Hope this helps!
