Just make sure its a Vitamin B complex. You really want to make sure its complex, because certain B vitamins depend on having enough of the others.
I personally take Super B complex, I *think* I got it at Walmart.
I also take 2000 units of D3, you can also find the bottle of D3 with each pill being 1000 units. During the winter months, I generally up it to 3000units, but for me that's what I need as I don't spend too much time outside during the winter, and Vit. D deficiency runs in my family. I got those at Walmart too, but have seen them everywhere. Walmarts just more inexpensive, and when you take as much stuff as we do, it can get a bit costly.
And hang in there with the Metformin, I PROMISE it gets better, because if it didn't I wouldn't still be taking it. I've been on it now steadily for several months. The first couple of months are rough, but once you get to your highest dose, and stay there for at least 6 weeks, alot of the symptoms go away or decrease dramatically.

I wish I had known about these vitamins earlier. I started Met in May and was exhausted all the time. I called the RE's office to ask about it and the nurse told me it was probably just because it was summer and hot out. I was shocked but didn't pursue it. So annoying!

Annie~ It definitely looks like it has sufficient B vitamins. It definitely has a good amount of folic acid. The only thing I would suggest, is remembering that Metformin does interfere with B vitamin absorption and if you notice your energy levels are low, it probably wouldn't hurt to take extra. From everything I read doing research and asking my doctor about B vitamins, unless you have some weird and rare underlying disease, its virtually impossible to overdose, as you excrete any extra in your urine. Its not like Iron or Vitamin A where it can build up in your system. I did notice that's ALOT of Iron. But you very well made need it though, especially if you have a history of anemia, and heavy AF.

Phbalanced~ are you taking clomid this cycle? BBT is great, but at least for me its not always 100% accurate. Checking your cervical position and your cervical mucus (I hate that word, why couldn't it be just a little more user friendly?? ) can help you determine as well along w/ BBT. You can also use ovulation predictor kits to help determine your O date. Once you've determined this, have your doctor run what's called a P4 test 7 days past ovulation, this test checks your progesterone levels, which will indicate if you've ovulated or not.
Vitex is actually an extremely safe herbal supplement, and many long time herbalists recommend this as a first step in boosting fertility, not because it "makes" you ovulate, etc. But it works directly with the pituitary gland in balancing your entire endocrine system, which our reproductive system and hormones are a part of. If you decide you want to take Vitex, there are several threads in Alternative Remedies that discuss what different women do. I personally haven't started taking it, because as of right now, my hormone levels are pretty normal, and I am ovulating to some degree on my own. But I also had ovarian drilling back in June.
I've read that the tincture form is best, but do know several of the women on here take the pill form and its worked great for them. If you take this on a clomid month, just stop taking it the days you take clomid. and then you can resume taking vitex when you finished your clomid days. That's what I've read is the commonest way to take it when your using clomid.
HTH, and your welcome!

Samie- I am not taking Clomid this cycle. I think the dr wants me to take it & i guess wait like a month in between. I am supposed to go back in for a check up on Dec. 15th, so she can c how im progressing. I have been having this cramping that just started a couple of days ago, kinda like period cramps mayb a lil worse, but of course with no AF. I have also been having swollen breasts & tenderness...the left has been noticably bigger than the right one. So, idk if im just having symptoms of af or what. Don't really know what to think of that...

No, please don't...
Your welcome, I don't mind sharing. But I always encourage everyone to do their own research, as we are all different, and react differently to different things, etc.
So if you find its not working, find a different approach.
I personally love the way my dr's Nurse practitioner puts it.."Isn't it amazing that our bodies don't work like the machines we expect them to" She's great.

It sounds like you could definitely be gearing up for AF then.
If you haven't started within the next 10 days, I'd take a HPT to make sure your not pregnant, and then probably see if you could induce AF again.

Im glad I found this thread.

Ive been on Met for about 1 month now.
Im on Met ER and I think I need to get off..Or maybe you guys can tell me that this is normal and it will pass!

Ok the stomach stuff...not too bad..Ive cut back on white bread, potatoes, pasta etc.. so I think that helps with that.

Im getting anxiety attacks
sometimes out of no where my heart will race for a min and I get out of breath
As far as feeling tired... seem like Im a little more tired but not to bad.
I constantly feel like i have this nervous feeling in my stomach.
I feel hungry more than normal but if I eat it , I dont really feel like eating too much anymore.. Almost like false hunger.
I think it is also drying up CM!!

This is not so horrible but this annoys the hec out of me.
If I think of something I want to eat and I cook it or order it..it never satisfies my craving!!! so weird.

Any thoughts?

Dana, I had some of those same symptoms, it definitely got better for me, I'm naturally anxious already, so...I couldn't have handled it had it continued.
And the first couple of months, I felt like I was hungry all the time too, but not really hungry, kwim?
That's also passed. I found what helped this, wasn't eating something, but drinking something like a protein shake, or even a small glass of 2% milk.
I also drove my dh NUTS because it would take me FOREVER to decide on what I wanted to eat..as it all seemed blah...to me at the time.
It really does get better. I just sucked it up and dealt with it, and then one day...it went away. My sister (who has PCOS too) couldn't handle met the first time she was given it, but now, she's seen I don't have all the crazy s/e after taking it for so long, and she's reconsidering..lol, she actually texted me "Do you have extra Met I can have?"...nope! I take all of mine. Hang in there, it really does get better! It took me 3 months at my maximum dose to fully adjust.
