Default Eyelid Twitching????

Does anyone else have problems with eyelid spasms? I've been having them quite regularly. Of course, eye strain or stress are the most common suggestions for possible causes... but I don't think that's it. So I am wondering if it could be some weird quirk of PCOS, or maybe a side effect of Met?? Does anyone else have eyelid twitching, or am I just a total freak???? LOL

Yep I get them for a few days and then they will go away for a few months and then just one day they will be back again. They are so annoying! I don't know what causes them I have just always had them off and on! A girl I work with does also. I think it is pretty normal!

Cool I had this problem when I was younger a lot.

When I was in High School I had problems with one eyelid twitching a lot. Especially when I was nervous or tired. I don't experience this as much now and don't think it is related to PCOS, but who knows.

Thanks for the responses... I guess I'll just hope it goes away. It's been 2 weeks (this time), every day, but seemed to be happening a little less often yesterday.

I get them when I'm stressed and run down. I take a multi-vitamin or mineral supplement and its gone within a few hours.

I get it a few weeks after I've been super stressed - kinda like a delayed reactioin. Sometimes they last a while, other times it's just a day or two.

I've had them before, they are so annoying! I've been told by a nutritionist that quionine helps it, but I haven't tried that remedy. LOL, I just haven't been around any tonic water when I've had an episode!

I get them sometimes when I'm really upset/stressed. I had a bout of Bell's Palsy about 3 years ago and I'm pretty sure my nerves around that area are damaged. It's really annoying when it happens!

My sister and I both get eye twitches for days at a time during allergy season. It is her only allergy symptom, I get mine with my other allergy symptoms and it went away with my allergy meds but came back when I stopped, that is how I figured out what was causing it. Don't know if that is what causes yours but HTH!

lol, I don't know if it has anything to do with PCOS or not... BUT I get them too!! They can last days on end which is very annoying especially when you feel like everyone else should be able to see it too! But it comes off and on. I haven't determined what causes it. If it's stress I guess then I only get it sometimes when I'm stressed cause I'm always stressed, and when I'm REALLY stressed I start forgetting things.
I also get my ear drum that seems to ... I don't know how to explain it... thud occasionally. That's annoying too, I just think it's cause I"m weird, I have too many strange things wrong with me.

I have had really bad eyelid twitches the past few months. It is really bothersome in the fact that sometimes is gets so bad that it affects my vision. I think my is stress/being tired. Last weekend I had a 4 day weekend with DH and we did A LOT of relaxing. I didn't realize it until right before I went back to work, but all weekend I didn't have the twitches. As soon as I got back to work they started up real bad again. And they have been bothering me ever since. I think I am gonna try a multi-vitamin like someone else said they use and see what happens.
