Red face Facial Hair

I've noticed that a lot of you with facial hair say that you can pluck your hair to get rid of it. Do any of you have to shave on a daily basis? Like a full grown beard? OMG I can not believe I'm posting this! I dont have just a couple of stray hairs. I dont mean a gotee. I mean a full beard that I have to break out the razor and shaving cream every day because if not I wouldnt allow my husband to see me.
Like he probably doesnt see it anyway but I turn my face from him. Funny huh?
But anyway on with the question. What do you do? Do you shave? I've been shaving for years and because of this its been getting worse. The hair is getting more and more course as I get older. And the more I shave. I dont have the money for electolisis. Plus I'm scared of getting burned. Waxing. Ow! Especially my face?! So What? What do you do to your face everyday? Is yours this bad? Mine is getting so stubly that even right after I shave I dont get all of the stuble off. Lord only knows dont let me rub up against anything soft. I'll stick to it like white on rice. Stuble is a bi*ch!
Anyway. Just wanted your opinions.

Ta Ta for now

Kevinsgirl - honey I know how you feel!

I too have LOTS of facial hair. WAY more than I could pluck, and way too heavy to let grow so that it can be waxed. So yep - I shave - every day, sometimes twice a day. I do pluck the ones on my chin and along my cheekbones (but mostly just once a week, to clear a lot up for the rest of the week) but I could never get them all. There are just TOO many!

I am currently saving up for laser therapy. I've been told I'm a good candidate for it, but it is very expensive, so it will be awhile before I can have it done.

I HATE it! I'm single and terrified that if I do meet someone, I'll never be able to get close because of my facial hair!

I have facial hair issues too, so I completely understand!

I shave everyday and on occasion I will pluck but it can become obsessive really fast! I recommend the schick quattro women's razor...it's about ten bucks but it is the best razor I have ever found, and I have been shaving for about 10 years now! Good luck.

Oh, and I forgot to say that exfoliating REALLY helps you get a close shave!

Oh my god, YES! I've got 'velcro chin' where if I rub against any fabric, especially a soft one, I end up sticking to it.

I used to pluck, but there are just too many of them now, so I shave daily. And I'm also obsessive about my DH seeing my in all my stubbly glory. Argh!

I share your frustrations and embarrasment!

Used to have practically a full beard before I got electrolysis and laser. Now I have... well, um... a few still. I used to shave twice a day. Now I shave maybe once a week and tweeze a few here and there. I would highly recommend laser. It wasn't that expensive for me. Start saving a little money here and there for it and it will add up.

I know what you all mean. I shave every morning before work, and sometimes I worry u can still see the stuble. I use Sally Hansen Hair remover occasionally. keeps the moustache away, never shave that, just my jaw/cheeks. I am single, also and worry i will never find a guy that would understand what I have to go thru daily.

Well, in my opinion any man who doesn't love you -- ALL of you -- is not worth your time. I had to wait a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time to find mine, but it did happen. And you know what? He's so incredibly much better than any of the guys those girls I used to be jealous of because they had someone and I didn't wound up with. What's that saying? Living well is the best revenge?

I know DH knows by now. I just like to pretend he doesnt. Makes me feel better.

So maybe I need to start exfoliating again and see if that will help a little more cuz here lately its been really bad.

Thanks for all the post !

i'll second the comment made on the new quattro for women....i got one free from an offer at the website and it is truely one of the best if not the best razor i have ever used. at one point i had my mustache and chin and neck as well as my eyebrows waxed. it got to the point where i couldn't wait for it to grow long enough to wax and i started shaving and still do everyday.
i have had laser done and it did help, but it is not all gone...i can go 2 days without shaving if i had to, but rarely do. it is much lighter than it was and when i get some extra money i am interested in trying it again, cost has come down to some extent.

btw, i was talking to a friend of mine last nite and she was whineing and wanted to know if i thought insurance would pay for her to have laser done on her chin for her hair. number one i didn't knw she had any and she doesn't have pcos or hormonal problems. i told her i shaved everyday and had my brows and goatee waxed....she gave me a lecture about shaving and told me i should pluck or have laser or electo. i don't think she realized how much hair i have and i ended up ending the conversation before either of us got upset...i love her to death and although she is a smart person she doesn't know everything i told her i felt her pain and it was worth a try but without a medical reason for the hair growth she probably wasnt' going to get anything...who knws???

sorry that was kind of 'rantish'

good luck to us all....................Lisa

I have been shaving everyday for 17 years!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty much full beard. Have tried laser and IPL without a lot of success, but are working on getting my hormones back to normal ,maybe in vain but you gotta be hopeful. My doc thinks natural progesterone lozenges will do the trick. I used to just pluck but I was spending hours and hours so much to my disgust had to shave. No-one knows the full extent of the problem. I would curl up and die if DH spotted me. It is definately great to know Im not the only shaving female out there.Someone please invent a machine that will make it all go away!!!!!!!!!!!!!
