I'm taking Spiro, Met, & yaz and trying to eat healthy and get some exercise I plan on doing laser if I'm not satisfied with the results from the meds. I have "normal" lab results but apparently somethings going on
Talk to your doctor about your options and if you feel that he/she isn't as concerned about it as you are then get a new one

“According to a recent survey, men say the first thing they notice about a woman is their eyes, and women say the first thing they notice about men is they're a bunch of liars”
I pluck mine every day as well.... it is very annoying to have to worry about doing. And then I look at my husband who only shaves once a week and think how lucky he is that nobody will look at him funny for having facial hair. It's bad enough that women have to shave their legs, under their arms, and now people like us have to tweeze our faces. Totally unfair.
I have a consultation with a new doctor this week and plan to ask a million questions. One of them will be about the facial hair. If I get good advice and it works, I'll let you all know!

I guess it's just one of these interesting crossover situations. If your dh is not native-American Indian, his growth is definitely in the female range, while yours is probably in the male range. But when you're both out of the usual range it helps understand each other better.
Id like to see pictures of peoples hair? Ive googled it and it doesnt come up with much....what classifies as excessive? My b/f tells me I hardly have anything but I am always looking, plucking, and complaining about it?
I have hair on my chin, sideburns, neck, chest and a couple on my back so O really understand. I tried plucking but seemed to be still out of control so I started laser hair removal on my face. and i can see a difference. I had to make sure that the place was safe for my skin type.

Dx.: March 2008
TTC (seriously) since 2009
Meds:
Metformin 500mg
PCOS Symptoms:
No Cycles( unless forced by BCP)
Facial hair( well the hair is pretty much everywhere)
I have hair on my jaw line, my chin, my upper lip, side burns, chest, stomach and the hair on my legs, private area and underarms is very dark and thick. I shave it. I have tried waxing, didn't do a thing but take off a few layers of skin (grrrr) and hurt, a lot. I have tried elctrolysis, nope, didn't work either. I have tried creams that disolve the hair, didn't work, only took off a few hairs and burnt my skin, even the really mild one. So, I gave up. I shave. It works. I use a moisturiser so I don't get shaving rash like a man.
I have hair on my chin, cheeks, and neck. I went to this indian hair salon because my friend who is indian who has hair also goes to. The lady waxed and threaded my hair and I broke out in horrible i guess razor bump looking things so i vowed never to do that again. I currently shave, which works for me i do it like every two days or something like that. My hormones are just crazy!

If you get off with shaving only every second day you're doing pretty well -- only just into the male range of facial hair growth. Though sometimes I think that shaving every day is actually less strain mentally, simply because it's so much of a routine I don't even have to think about it.
I have hair coarse and dark on my chin, I have tried laser but it got to expensive, doc won't put me on spiro b/c ttc, and I tried the waxing thing but I am very self concious and will not let the hair grow long enough to go and get it done. So i have resorted to shaving (UGGGH). And i use Bare Minerals and cover it up after REALLY GOOD. I feel like I have a 5o'clock shadow at times. I have hair on my chest and a line from from belly button. Someone PLEASE give some advice. Has anyone tried Vaniqua?

I have been dealing with coarse black hair on my face all around my chin mainly. I had gotten use to using an electric razor. But recently I shave and I still see stubble. Even when I use a men's razor I can't get rid of all the stubble. I don't know why it is getting worse.
I am on metformin (2000mg a day) and have been for many years for the pcos and my diabetes. Could it no longer be effective?
I don't know what to do. I tried waxing and bleaching years ago and it doesn't work on my facial hair. It is too dark and coarse.
