Default Facial Peach Fuzz?

If I shave it, will it grow thicker and darker? It's only noticeable in the light and it's blond, so bleaching it isn't an option. I don't know what to do because I'm afraid it will get worse

It could I think. I have a friend that shaves and it does just that. That's why I never shave.

Why would you want to shave it? If it's soft and blonde I wouldn't worry about it. I have that on my face too, and I just leave it there. It's not really noticeable unless light hits my face. Everyone has facial "fuzz" of some type, and I think we should consider ourselves lucky if it's only blonde!

No, shaving won't make it thicker or darker. Some people when start shaving when the hair gets to the stage it's unacceptable, then blame the shaving for the coarsening that was the original reason for shaving!

If it's just peach fuzz, do you really need to shave? But if you don't like it there, just shave it. Japanese women traditionally shave -- not to remove facial hair, of which most have none -- even the men have only a little -- but rather to exfoliate.

Hi, i bleach my hair on my face so its blonde but it can get longer than i would like, so i trim it and that way if the light hits my face i dont feel so self conscious. when i run out of bleach and some dark ones come through i pluck when they are dark they look worse so bleach just blends them away.

Shaving will have no effect no the coarsness or thickness of the hair. Not possible. No way. Not going to happen.

BTW, I just finished reading an article in a 'spa' magazine that encouraged women to shave their faces to make for a smoother makeup application.

Many of the estheticians(sp) interviewed for the article, shaved their face regularly.

I'm a plucker, but I do use one of those facial trimmers to deal with the lighter hairs.

This is why I would like it gone. It's noticeable when I put on makeup and powder. It started growing everywhere-upper cheeks, forehead, chin - it is very fine, but I'm worried it will start getting thicker/darker. I do have thicker sideburns which I loathe, and long chin hairs, but the hair on my face is upsetting. I keep thinking I'm going to end up looking like the wolf man

I wonder how they avoid skin irritation. They would be the people to ask!

That's one of the reasons I don't wear makeup. My skin looks HORRIBLE with foundation or powder. I just look like a powdered fuzzball. I *try* to take good care of my skin so I can look halfway decent without makeup. If not, oh well. People will just have to see me with zits!!!

I told my boyfriend this, so if he ever catches me shaving I can just say, "Oh, remember that article I was telling you about? I'm doing it so my makeup goes on better!"

I know that's childish. I know that he knows I deal with facial hair. But I'm still not ready to openly talk to him about it or deal with it in front of him. Sigh.
