Question Factor V Leiden Heterozygous

Hello, cycters!
After the last miscarriage at 12 weeks, I was diagnosed with Factor V Leiden Heterozygous. Can anyone share their expeiences with this disorder? Have you been able to get PG again and carry to term? I will be seeing a high risk once i get PG again...
I would appreciate any words of wisdom!

Sorry I can't help you. But I believe one of the Aug 08 pg ladies was diagnosed with the same after her first m/c earlier this year and is currently being treated for it during this pg. Someone on the pg board might be able to talk to you about what treatment they are getting. Sorry for your loss

I'm sorry for your losses.

My FIL has both copies of the gene, and my SIL has the heterozygous situation like you. I assume that cumiden (sorry if spelled wrong) would work for a lot of people to thin blood and avoid clots, but she developed a blood clot during her time in a leg cast and had to go to lovenox shots because she was allergic to the oral cumiden. I would assume she'll be on shots throughout pregnancy if she chooses to have kids. I have had many friends through the cyster sites I belong to who have other clotting disorders and had very successful pregnancies doing the injections daily. Best wishes to you!

Default Thank you!

This is what I know also. But I'm really not afraid of injections (I can even look when I get blood when at RE every other day. I am actually looking foreward to injecting, if you know what I mean.. All I want is a healthy baby!

My neighbor has this but does not talk about it. She doesn't not have PCOS.

I don't have the Factor L but I do have MTHFR both gene mutations. I m/c at 8weeks (but didn't physically miscarry until 10 weeks) and we're getting ready to start ttc again.

I wish you luck finding your information and I'm so sorry for your loss. I know the pain.
