i hate everything that i write
everything i pour on the damn page
is like coffee made from pain
i'm so fake i don't have a right
to be anything other than pretend
i'm so fake my mind aches

i hate how i speak today
yesterday was so much better
yesterday wasn't so pink
i had a much better day
things weren't my fault
i could just walk away from it

most of all i hate missing you
i hate loving everything about you
how dare you make me feel!
i'm not fake around you
i wish you knew what this was like
then you'd hate me too

i hate that you think i'm perfect
because i'm not, you know
you're ridiculous and irritating
when i think of you i get sick
i want to be fake again,
to pull it close like a warm blanket

i've lost all of this security
and i hate you for it
you awoke an addict that's in me
the building of this fury
has been asleep for so long -
she won't go away.
