I highly recommend to any Dallas Cysters, or even those with in driving distance, to check out Dr. David Fein. His office is at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas on Walnut Hill. I have a couple of friends who recommended him to me, and I love him. He was the one doctor who finally did the math and diagnosed me with PCOS.
He has always listened to my concerns and never talked down to me, nor any one of my friends who see him. Even when I disagreed with him. He was right, I was wrong. It was a good experience for me since I was always taught the doctor is always right. He caught me clamming up and knew I was shutting down and we talked it out. I can safely say I've NEVER had a doctor do that before. So, yes, he figured out I disagreed with him, made me admit it, then talked though the issues with me.
Also if you have weight issues, he's sensitive enough to not beat you up over it, while keeping an eye on your health. I'm TTC and have not been pressured to lose weight or anything. We did discuss it, noted it as a factor, and moved on. He has also been a savior for at least two of my close friends, so I highly recommend him. BTW, he also has a good sense of humor, which in my book is always a plus.

Would you recommend Dr. Fein for a 19 yr old college student? (not interested in TTC)
**plz note I posted similar question on Good Doctor in the Dallas Area? - not TTC
Absolutely. The only caution I would give you is that he does not specialize in PCOS (or TTC for that matter) as you indicated you were looking for in your other post. But as I said before, I have at least two friends who have gone through MAJOR issues with Dr. Fein. And there is no one else we would trust.
He has a kind manner and a good sense of humor, and knows when to use it and when not to. He is also very thorough and, I think most importantly, will listen to you and respond to your concerns. He takes his time with each of his patients, and knows them. You will never feel like a number on a chart.
Additionally, as I read in your other post, his office is just north of SMU.
If you have more questions, please don't hesitate to send me a private message. I've been in Dallas, and the North Dallas area, for a while, and I'm happy to help.

I want to thank you for the recommendation. I saw Dr Fein yestersday and was impressed. He really made me feel like he might be able to help me.
He gave me alot of literature, some of the stuff I knew, but he was very informative, compassionate, and caring. Changed up my meds and really helped me feel like we could develop a plan for a new and better me. Well worth the hour commute in Dallas traffic.
